It's not KP's job to play perfect games. Or to lead. It's the franchise players job. He's still a rookie at the end of the day.

Perfection? :rudy: Defense and rebounding is about effort, as you can't control if shots fall. KP gave no effort on defense and rebounding and he gets paid to do so, just like 'Melo and the rest of the team. All he wanted to do was shoot.

And no, it's not the franchise player's job to play perfectly. 17, 6, and 8, with elite defense was the best he could do tonight. Without it, they don't even have chance, as defense lost the game. It is what it is.

Melo did alot of things well tonight, but his stroke is gone and it's getting to him. His lack of a first step is evident too, he doesn't seem capable of just blowing by people anymore like in the past, and finishing is a problem too. If Melo isn't a threat at the rim, defenses are gonna keep playing him tight, making things harder for him in general. Melo's gonna have to keep passing like he has, and I think Fisher should look to play him off the ball more to free him up and give him some spot up opportunities.

Like clockwork,

:stopitslime:

Just like the people standing in line to blame him when his elite defense and rebounding kept them in it all night and KP's trash defense and trash rebounding was a huge part of the loss. Unlike most, I'm not gonna front just because KP scored 28, especially when people are trying to throw him under that bus and blame him. He is certainly not to blame. He's to blame for giving them a chance to win. He deserves a lot of credit for the way he played tonight, not shade.

:whoa: at guys talking about trading Melo knowing he's coming off surgery and a lengthy rehab. We know he can still shoot by his improvement from the FT line, he just can't elevate to hit his jumpers. His decision making with the ball in his hand is still sketchy, but once he starts hitting shots people will be on his dikk once again.

Gotta turn into Olympic Melo... This team needs to run through KP...

He had 17 points. Offense didn't lose the game. NY shot 47.6% from the field and 36% from 3. Defense and rebounding lost the game and KP was a huge reason why. 'Melo was great defensively and in rebounding. KP was trash defensively and in rebounding. 'Melo did everything tonight. He scored 17, played great defense on Wes, and rebounded. All KP did was score, rebound like trash, and defend like trash.
what does porzingis have to do with this? i didnt say shyt about him. and nope, sorry. melo is the leader of this team, who is relied upon down the stretch to hit the big shots, thats what he gets paid the max for. shooting 33%, throwing a temper tantrum down the stretch costing us points aint cutting it for me.
