I might actually sift through this for the Jimmer, Early and that PG shifts since we got an extra day before the Knicks play.

I wanna see Trice. 9:50 mark is a typical NY call. NY player gets knocked down, foul on NY. At least the league is consistent with their hate. Jimmer doesn't even try to play defense.

I googled your exact question by copying and pasting it. You'll have to google it yourself, since you're not getting the answer you're looking for. And you don't know what 'ad hominem' is. You don't have to attack character for it to be 'ad hominem'. I advise you to google that too. All that said, I now see that it's possible that the film you saw where people got open shots was when they guarded the 3 poorly in the Miami game (Bosh and Green were hitting open ones and the team shot 41.2% from 3, but poorly from 2) and when they guarded Houston poorly (they shot 45% from the field, but only 28% from 3). Those were recent games, so I could see how you thought NY can't defend the 3. It doesn't help that when they were tanking just last season, they didn't guard the 3.
I did try to google it myself but kept coming up with the same individual team info you did. I'm trying to find out what the league wide average is. Oh well no biggie....to me that is!
The bolded is most likely true. I've missed a few games this season and rarely catch 1 from start to finish. That said....do you now see how despite charts, stats, graphs, and trends....it's possible for someone to have a different view than you? Perception is a mofo. I saw something and commented on what I saw. You read my comment and got your google on so you could try to refute it. This is why I say stats can be misleading. Ok so as of yesterday NY led in opp 3pt pct. Yet still in timely and key situations, they will give one up. Why is that? What's the stat on that? I don't really care...IJS. And I actually started to write "defend the perimeter" too, but Thornton hitting those timely buckets made me type '3'. :manny:

Nice article by Zach Lowe regarding the Knicks on ESPN today analyzing current and future state of the franchise (trending upwards as most of us can see) and the versatility of Porzingis even at this early stage of his career.

Lowe: The Knicks' bright future (that's right, the Knicks)

He tweeted that he's talking Knicks with Herring on his podcast tomorrow...my two favorite basketball writers right there.

Houston Rockets: Now we're talking. An underachieving contender desperate to win before Dwight Howard can bolt. The four-man package of Ty Lawson (sunk cost on an expiring deal), Patrick Beverley (a perfect triangle point guard!), Terrence Jones, and Trevor Ariza matches the combined salaries of Anthony and Jose Calderon almost exactly -- a key bit of math synergy, since Houston is hard-capped. Toss in a Rockets pick, and you have the kind of mega-deal that makes both sides a little anxious.

Thread has been depressing with this losing streak so I'm changing the topic for a second. My wife is from the Midwest and had no ties to the Knicks. When she made this birthday cake for me a few years back, I knew it was time to go ring shopping. :wow:

Looks like she knew KP was joining the squad.

Btw where's that Celtics stan that kept stating the Knicks agreed to trade the fourth for the ninth pick to get Kaminsky was some sort of fact?

Porzingis was there at No. 4, though not without some drama. The Boston Celtics were hell-bent on moving up to draft Justise Winslow and offered the Charlotte Hornets four first-round picks -- including one of Brooklyn's unprotected picks -- for Charlotte's No. 9 pick. But that was Boston's fall-back plan, sources say. The Celtics initially chased Charlotte's pick with the idea of sending it to the Knicks, along with Boston's No. 15 pick, to vault all the way into the Knicks' draft slot -- where the Celtics would take Winslow. Charlotte refused Boston's pitches, and the scenario died. The Knicks downplay their interest in Boston's offer, though it's fascinating to consider how the draft might have played out -- and which fan base would be chanting "POR-ZIN-GIS!" today -- had the Celtics swooped in for Winslow at No. 4.

"We listened," Mills says. "But we were never close."
