I watched the game yesterday and was shocked Afflalo didn't get the final shot in the 4th quarter. I'm all for team ball, but you have to give him the ball when he's having his best game of the season. Lance Thomas still had a good look and it was a good shot, but I thought Fisher would've drawn something up for Afflalo. He was killing them all game in post ups. Another head scratcher to end the game.

The team still looks good, but roles aren't defined yet. Plays are too robotic and guys are getting the ball out of their comfort zone. I'm seeing time after time where Bigs are placed in a position to fail in a new offense to them. Lopez should not get the ball at the top of the key and be placed on an island by himself. He can't do anything out there and defense are reacting to that. They are sagging off and defending the pass instead of the shot. He looks lost and the play is dead before it even starts. He should at least attempt a shot instead of forcing the play.

Another month of this shyt before I get worried.

Thread has been depressing with this losing streak so I'm changing the topic for a second. My wife is from the Midwest and had no ties to the Knicks. When she made this birthday cake for me a few years back, I knew it was time to go ring shopping. :wow:

He's not supposed to get the ball so high because he's not comfortable jump shooting. That's supposed to be Porzingis or Melo. Idk why it's always Lopez

Cute but not quite what I'm asking. What is the League average from behind the 3 point line? As in what's the average NBA team 3 pt fg %? Google that for me. :takedat:
You may be over-using the term 'ad hominem'. I haven't attacked your character at all. And did you ask me a question? What am I supposed to be answering?

I googled your exact question by copying and pasting it. You'll have to google it yourself, since you're not getting the answer you're looking for. And you don't know what 'ad hominem' is. You don't have to attack character for it to be 'ad hominem'. I advise you to google that too. All that said, I now see that it's possible that the film you saw where people got open shots was when they guarded the 3 poorly in the Miami game (Bosh and Green were hitting open ones and the team shot 41.2% from 3, but poorly from 2) and when they guarded Houston poorly (they shot 45% from the field, but only 28% from 3). Those were recent games, so I could see how you thought NY can't defend the 3. It doesn't help that when they were tanking just last season, they didn't guard the 3.

I agree and I disagree. He has the knicks playing hard even when they are being blown out. That type of discipline is always a sign of good coaching.

If anything the issue is he really is new at coaching so he does not have a feel for momentum yet. More experienced coaches know what type of lineup to use, how long a guy can sit before he turns cold, Time outs, etc.

I still feel he is giving everybody burn early and eventually he'll have a shorter roster. It just sucks when he is out there trying to learn and we fans want the knicks to be out there trying to win.

:ld:

If you agreed to disagree, you wouldn't have written a rebuttal. If y'all were trying to win, you wouldn't be blaming Fish when the shot-makers are missing (Arron, Gallo, D-Will, and 'Melo at times). Those players got the mins they've always gotten, and now that their missing shots, it's the mins. No, it's them. They need to get healthy, get their legs back from injury and missing games, get rested from the brutal schedule, or get more shots up. That's pretty much it. If y'all were trying to win, you wouldn't be calling for 40% shooters like KP to get more shots. You wouldn't be calling for certain players to be allowed to "play through their mistakes" when those mistakes are costing NY games.

NY is not #1 in opp 3 pt fg%. Look again. And are teams shooting 29% against us because there's a hand in their face or are they just missing? My comment was made in response to my eyes seeing wide open shooters and NY constantly struggling to close out on open shooters. Stats don't tell the entire story. You depend on them too much.

There is NO arc on his shot. I even said in my post it's effective but I feel it's ugly. Yet in your brain you think that means I think he shoots like Noah or MKG? :stopitslime:

I know I'm gonna regret replying to you. :mindblown:

He does have a hood rec room J.
