Just got home. The feeling of basketball being back:blessed::blessed::blessed:

Calderon and Sasha at no point in any rotation play together:scust:

Grant and Gallo's defense was on point. O Queens is a instant crowd favorite. Melo was Melo I lost count how many 3s the Brazilian team were shooting:dead:
I was telling that to my boy, they was shooting threes like dudes in 2k. They were like 27% from behind the arc.

Anybody been to a NBA Game where the seats are behind the basket.

Going to the game on Fri but I'm trying to figure out what the best seats would be

Did once like 2 years ago. It was against Boston and a blow out. We got to move down closer to the baseline at the end just feet away from the court, wasn't the worst view. It was my boys bday and he was trying to take a step on the courtbut security wasn't having it . :russ:

Post game analysis (I do this damn near every game of the season at realgm). This analysis should be taken with a grain of salt since we played a squash team, but it's boring with nothing to look at and breakdown so why not start now?

Melo - Played like a star and a leader. Porzingis was visibly nervous early and the starters looked a bit uncomfortable together but he knocked down bucket after bucket to keep everything rolling. That clip of Melo grabbing KP and talking to him was really great to see. It seems like he's really taken to this roster. His energy was high on both ends btw.

KP - Looked nervous and a bit overwhelmed at times. He still showed a lot of the things that make him such an exciting prospect. For a guy whose main advertised skill is his shooting, KP finds a way to draw fouls that I think will translate against any competition. His three point shooting was on display as well. He played pretty solid, smart overall D but nothing to rave about. My two bits of criticism would be that he needs to shore up his hands and he looked gassed after 20 (but I think that had to do with the adrenaline dump).

Grant - His attacking, draw the defense and dish style is such a welcome addition to this team. After one preseason game it's already hard to imagine Calderon fending him off for the starting role. The entire game moves faster when he's out there. His passing was impressive and his finishing at the rim was pretty strong, like KP he draws fouls well as well. Defensively he was high energy.

KOQ - His game screams New York! He has all of the skills to impact the game from every spot he'll touch the ball on the floor. He showed range, face up, post up, off ball play and passing skills to boot. He had possibly the nicest assist of the game, dribbling to create an opening and finding Vujacic. His defensive play was strong, rotated well and had a highlight reel block. He's an exciting pick up, could play into a starting role.

Galloway - Don't let excitement for Grant make you miss what this dude is doing out there. He's a high energy player on both ends who does everything right. If he can improve finishing at the basket, he can be a really good player. His defense is just strong and he seemed to be involved in everything including boards. His jumper was there, passing was smart and overall he had an impressive performance.

R-Lo - He's the guy you don't necessarily notice out there who is having a positive impact on the game. Even in this game he just did what he's supposed to do. He didn't do more, didn't do less and if there's any criticism it's with a couple of his fouls (and even that's a reach).

Seraphin - Guy can flat out score. He's gonna give us punch off the bench. What was nice to see from him was his board work and energy on defense. He was diving for the ball in a preseason game. Dude even passed up a couple of opportunities. He could be a really pleasant surprise.

D-Will - Hit the corner three, grabbed a board and turned that into a coast to coast break for some free throws, had some foolish TO's and jumped out of the building to finish a high alley-oop pass. He's nothing special, but he's got some interesting skills for the squad and could produce out of the end of the rotation.

Vujacic - Crafty player. Doesn't seem like he should be getting more than 10 mpg, but I guess Fish wanted the vets out there early. I've never liked him and tn wasn't gonna change my mind but he wasn't awful.

Early - Looked game, had high energy, hit a crazy half court shot but played fairly short minutes and touches to judge much.

Lance Thomas - I'd rather see Early and D-Will get his minutes but he does bring energy. When Afflalo gets on the floor, his spot in the rotation should be the one that goes imo.

Fisher - head scratcher starting line-up, seemed to stick to a strict minutes break down, holding off judging him...but that starting line-up is pretty odd.

I'd like to see some Grant highlights

Seraphin looks like he could start until KP gets ready

I'd put KOQ over Seraphin to start. R-Lo and KOQ are the best two passers and O'Quinn has more range to promote spacing like KP would (obviously KP is a bigger deep threat, but O'Quinn can at least pull his defender out far).
