Every offseason we see the same pics of skinny Melo, then when the season comes he's out of shape and missing shots at the rim. I won't get excited until I see him lifting heavy and gaining muscle so he can finish strong and have stamina in the 4th quarter.

My point is that early as December 2014 he could've opted to undergo surgerical procedure on his patella tendon and come into the following season in much better physical condition, but he chose to delay that because of the upcoming all-star game and his shoe contracts. Keep on for your boy though.

I like Melo but that was a dumb move and it made no sense to play in that All Star game..

They hate on Melo for no reason at all. First it's he's not winner but you show proof that he is. Then he only wants the money, because he choose NY now wants to stay in NY, and avoid the fan backlash of leaving where he wanted to go after a couple of years (a la...). Then no one wants to play with him, so you pull up clips of teammates saying how they enjoyed playing with him. Then he doesn't make teammates better, but stats of people that have all had career highs along side of him. They make up ish as they go along.

If we're keeping Melo, it's better that he plays. He's a notoriously slow starter (could be due to aforementioned not coming into camp and season in great shape but that's speculation) but his best performances have been after spending half a summer with team USA which keeps him up to speed. Even the injury concerns don't bother me, worst case scenario we're in the tank for what's being sold as a really deep draft.
