That's the answer on what's wrong with Cleveland, just not a big enough market. As far as NY vs LA or MIA; if all things are even he never waives the clause. But MIA and LA (Clips at least) have one of his long time closest friends; a team that's more suited to his needs (in so much as they both were playoff teams this year and he wants to win); and two types of pay increases (tax savings being the first type and a trade kicker that adds a few million dollars to his contract as the second). So he gets a playoff team, teams up with a close friend, makes more money and hits a media market that he can sell his family and management on. Those are the best chances for him to waive the clause.
Just to throw it in, I don't think he'll waive the clause this offseason. Maybe if we're out of the playoffs at the deadline but he doesn't sound interested in playing anywhere else right now which makes me wonder what Phil told him our plans are at the exit meetings.

I wouldn't put it past Phil trading him just to get rid of him. Phil never seemed to like him and has spoken negatively of him from the day he arrived in NY.
