Finally, the Knicks have a good coach in place, some decent youth on the squad, all of their picks, and a franchise player in KP. It's the first time in a while where I can feel more than cautiously optimistic about the Knicks future.

Hornacek is a pretty good hire, definitely better than Vogel and his non existant offense. Hornacek was doing pretty well with the suns team few years ago until the horrible sarver and front office started making stupid trade moves and gambled for that lamarcus signing.

This is like when Phil drafted KP. Us Fans don't have enough information to form a proper opinion so we're mad. We knew Vogel and Blatt were good coaches so we assumed they were the best coaches.

Phil deserves the benefit of the doubt.

Arguably Fisher was bad because he had to settle after Kerr was gone. He went after Walton early as well. He then interviewed all the best coaches available and chose Hornecek. Hornecek looks like he can adapt to a changing roster and from what I hear is a good overall coach. He's possibly somebody who could become a great coach with some mentoring from Phil.
