Melo to Boston should have legs

Knicks can have their homegrown big 3 if they tank next season

And who would be this big 3?

But this years draft is ass
And KP boy we drafted last year is equilvalent to a 1st rd pick this year anyway.

I keep hearing Batum is going to be our #1 FA target. He is a good fit for the Triangle, but I don't know about giving him the max which is what I've read, but you know anything you read in the off-season you take it with a grain of salt

I can't see Melo going to Boston. The only place I can see him going is La to play with his buddy Chris Paul.

But he's not going anywhere his wife loves it here and Melo isn't a player who's obsessed with winning.

Phil could hire Jeremy Lin to be player/coach and Melo still wouldnt waive the no trade.

Batum is worth $20+ mil and would make a huge difference on the Knicks.Batum brings versatility on both ends, can play at either the 2 or the 3, and is a great passer. Of all the realistic free agent possibilities this off season, Batum is the best player available. I think he stays in Charlotte, but if Phil is serious about competing next year, Batum is the guy he should throw a max at, not Conley.

Batum is getting the Max from Charlotte, Toronto and Maybe Miami (If they force Bosh to retire)

How could you think the underlined thing if you have not done the bolded thing?

Because just because Mark and his staff didn't do what Kerr and his staff did, doesn't mean he's a poor X and O coach. It means he had a different vision. He may have gotten to that point eventually to use more pick and roll and more switching on defense. We don't know. For all we know he may have planned to implement aspects of that in the season he was canned. For all we know Kerr and company simply tweaked Jacksons philosophies. I don't follow GS in the slightest. But didn't Jax start them going small by playing Barnes at the 4 and Green at the 5? I kinda remember a quote of his about playing Barnes at the 4. I'm not sure if he moved Iggy to the bench 1st or if it was Kerr. Again I don't follow that team. But I'm not getting sucked into a Kerr vs. Jackson debate. This is the Knicks thread.
