I knew it. This is part of Phil's plan. :demonic:

Phil was forced to accept re-signing Melo and give him the no-trade clause by Dolan/Mills. So, in order to right the wrong, he's sacrificing his rep by keeping Rambis (hopefully for no more than a year), and have Melo ask for a trade this year.

Next thing you know:
- Melo is gone and we suck next season
- Rambis is out after next season
- We get the true coach of the future
- We get a top 5 pick

And the train will be in motion. :blessed:

I agree the Phil is trying to force Melo out but he's not going to budge. Melo has it easy here and he's not going to go to a bigger basketball market with more pressure to win. The Knicks have no expectations to win

dolan gave phil full authority over the melo deal
thats why him treating melo so poorly is so troubling
