I would probably rather have Blatt over Vogel. The real thing that needs to happen is to get Phil out of here. His offense doesn't work in this NBA anymore.

Try to get rid of Carmelo also. There is no point he continues to waste his time on this franchise.

True. Even if anyone felt Porzingas was our main draw, we need a veteran, thats not a washed-up scrub. Melo wants to stay and compete, lets keep him. Create a nice mix of veterans and youngin's.

We don't want a Philly situation...nor do we want a team of :flabbynsick:

Draft picks. Take a page out of what the Timberwolves are doing.

@Cory MBA the 76ers are just dumbasses. The second they knew they were going with Okafor, Noel should have been on the block. Embiid will likely never play at a high level at this point, but that's the risk you take with an injured big coming into the league.

For as much as Melo is a "Veteran" he still demands to be the #1 option who is not a good team player and wants to win. Winning is not going to happen on the Knicks on a consistent basis until Melo is 35-36. Unless Phil can somehow convince superstars to play on the Knicks... I'll love to see what he tries to do.

It remains to be seen if the Timberwolves will be successful in managing the talent they have acquired. I see what you are saying though.

No need for me to comment on Philly, I don't think.

As for Melo, some people just don't like him for a variety of reasons - So there will always be a population segment that calls for him to be shipped out. As much as I wish he was more of a fighter on the court, I don't see anyone comparable to lead as a vet on the floor (And not just yelling from the bench). There are also no attractive rookies, sophomores, younger talent, or draft picks to trade him for this year.

Let's see how it plays out. We know better than to be overly optimistic.

Melo was right in both of those situations though. He buys in when there's something to buy into...

Actually, he would have been best served playing the 4 for D'Antoni... as that's the way the league has shifted, and the way he currently prefers to play. :manny:

Doesn't make a difference. What's done is done. Trade him for picks and young players, or push forward with him, and see if you can attract young free agents.

Dantoni had him running the offense though IIRC. Then tried to "propel" a Jeremy Lin over melo which he (rightfully) got upset about. He willingly bought into Woodson and played the 4 under him. Willingly bought into the triangle. If I had to choose, I'd rather push forward with Melo but wouldn't be upset if we traded him.
