It can't be Rambis; it just can't be. I'm still holding out hope that Dolan tells Phil 
when he tells him that Rambis is his choice. I don't want to believe that it could be the choice, but all this stuff about a triangle seminar and all that has got me feeling like it has to be Rambis. I made my peace with it not being Thibs, especially when I saw that he basically was asking for what is Phil's job in the process.
And then, in a masochistic sort of way, I'm actually kinda interested in seeing the fallout when Rambis is officially hired. WFAN may not have any problem doing their shows for the next two months with fans calling in cursing Phil and calling for his head....

He said something about the offense being more crisp under Rambis. Reading had me like
. Think he's the one. Phil is Phil, arrogant but smart. I refuse to believe Rambis will be our coach. I could live with Blatt if the team is young but he just isn't a New York guy imo.
Melo's definitely getting traded tho. Can't see him continuing with this. Can't build a team from two ends, one developing young guys and at the other building a contender for Melo. Need one direction.
I'm defending him.
Their is no excuse to not have at least a meeting with one of the best coaching prospects out there, especially when they expressed interest in coaching here.

He wanted Phil's role and wanted to hire Layden as GM. So not only would Phil be interviewing someone to take his place, but he'd also be bringing back the guy who turned the Knicks into a mess in the first place almost 20 years ago.
Blatt gettin' a interview too, so Rambis hasn't locked up the HC position.

I could live with Blatt; Steve Kerr was actually talking about bringing him on as an assistant before he got the Cleveland job. I think he didn't really get a fair shake out there, but I'm especially willing to live with him because his last name ain't Rambis.

Blatt's offense fits our personnel like a glove if Phil can grab any of the quality SG's on the market. If Phil's tweets after firing Fish are true, it's a team oriented system and Blatt is flexible enough to work with Rambis to slip more triangle-esque motions into the mix. Those double screen sets with Melo/RoLo/KP opening things up for the penetration PG's already on our roster...

I've no problem with blatt, he got the short end of the stick in Cleveland. No matter what he did there he was on the way out.
