A win is cool and all, but I hate seeing O'Quinn stuck on the bench; he and Grant need to be out there a whole lot more. Seraphin is trash, I don't know what the team is looking for out of him at this point. I hope Hernangomez comes over next year so the team can be done with Seraphin.

I agree with Kyle not receiving enough playing time, but Seraphin has been outplaying O'Quinn throughout the entire season. They're both at this point anyway. Kyle has been the most disappointing Knick signing this season based on his performance in the preseason and first couple games into the regular season.

Also, not gonna lie. A year two Kristaps with more power and a better feel for the game. Melo playing at a high level as well? I mean next season could be big for us. We should be in the offs next season if Phil and company do what they need to do this offseason.

Bulls players describe Tom Thibodeau’s love for New York

While they stopped short of stating the Knicks are a preferred destination for Thibodeau, both Derrick Rose and Taj Gibson said Thibodeau carries a high affinity for the team he helped lead to the 1999 Finals as an assistant.

“That’s all we talked about is the New York atmosphere and how he’s had tough-minded New York teams,” Gibson told the Daily News. “And that’s something we talked about all the time and that’s what we tried to incorporate the last couple of years. All-around, he’s a good guy.

“Almost every day we talked about his time in New York. We talked about them battles the Knicks used to have. Just talk about Knicks stuff in general. He loves New York. He always had high praise talking about the Knicks.”

One of the best arguments for Thibodeau is unfolding in Chicago, where the Bulls were a defensive powerhouse and an overachieving perennial Eastern Conference contender during his tenure. Under first-year coach Fred Hoiberg, however, they are out of the playoffs at the moment and a defensive mess following Thursday night’s 106-94 loss to the Knicks.

Hustle and heart were constants during Thibodeau’s Chicago tenure, but Hoiberg’s squad (36-35) has regressed in that area – allowing, for instance, 221 combined points in back-to-back losses to the Knicks while getting outrebounded by 28. When asked Thursday if the team misses Thibodeau’s leadership and isn’t responding the same to Hoiberg, Rose didn’t exactly back his current coach.

“We really don’t know,” he said. “Only time will tell.”

If you don't believe that Phil is completely determined to make it a triangle team, Thibs sounds like the type of guy he'd get along with. Basketball obsessed, detail oriented and loves the old NYK teams...Would LOVE to sit at dinner table and watch these two chop it up about the game and NY.

He loves defense, loves the city, and has implemented triangle type plays come on Phil stop playing
