You guys are pathetic. Celebrating a meaningless win in ANOTHER lottery season WITHOUT a lottery pick. Man, how does it feel supporting a team that hasn't been relevant since Juvenile put out back that ass up in 99?

That's all we talked about is the New York atmosphere and how he's had tough-minded New York teams," Gibson told the Daily News. "And that's something we talked about all the time and that's what we tried to incorporate the last couple of years. All-around, he's a good guy.

"Almost everyday we talked about his time in New York. We talked about them battles the Knicks used to have. Just talk about Knicks stuff in general. He loves New York. He always had high-praise talking about the Knicks."

Not for nothing this made me want thibs here more (regardless of Melo). It was one of the reasons why I wanted (and still want) Phil here. Phil had history with the knicks when they weren't dysfuntional.

Maybe that love of the knicks could give them something in common.

What We Learned:
. Damn near the exact same lessons as I typed up for last night's games. So I'm just gonna go out on a limb with some of this ish.

. Melo for the past 19 games...24 pts, 8 rpg, 4.4 apg, 46% FG, 36% 3PT, 85% FT...this is the second 20 game stretch with these numbers; from December to the Boston injury Melo put up 21,8 and 4 on 46, 33 and 80 over a 21 game span. That's 40 out of 65 games played where he's putting up 20+, 8 boards and 4+ assists on over 45% from the field. That's coming off knee surgery; imagine if he had a healthy offseason.

. Calderon's past two games are promising...not in a "let's keep him and see if he can keep it up" mindset, but from a "there's only a handful of games left and if he has a hot run to close the season, we may get a bite on his expiring contract." thought. Unlikely? Yeah, but possible? I've seen crazier things happen.

. AA is a great bench piece. D-Will is a threat to have an explosive quarter every time out. My preferred situation is Dwill opts in and AA opts out, but I'm not mad regardless with these two's options.

. Sasha playing well in the past two is similar to the team playing well in the last two for Rambis. I don't care how good it looks, don't want him back next year over some last minute decentness.

. KP challenging shots always changes the face of our defense, dude with legs is just a massive impact player. Can't wait to see him after an offseason, olympics or no olympics.

. Seraphin also did well challenging shots, he's a redundant piece. I prefer KOQ for damn sure. But KS deserves his props last night, he did alright and showed good effort on the defensive side of things.

. I wonder what Melo must be thinking as the Knicks smack around the team everyone told him to run to in order to become a champion.

. Shout out to D-Rose for that jumper he displayed the past two games and just overall looking better than he has in a good amount of time.

. And one last random aside: Seen Raptors fans acting thankful that we knocked the Bulls out of the playoffs for the time being because the Bulls always beat the Raptors...If THAT Bulls team scares you in a 7 game series, forget this year's playoffs, you probably need to root for a higher draft pick because being scared of that team means you have no prayer in hell at a chip barring mass injuries to everyone out West. The Cavs look a mess right now and I still take them in a 7 game series over any team that has to sweat this year's Bulls, flat out. No disrespect to Bulls fans either, yall know your team isn't looking right at the moment, it's undeniable.

It's crazy how that ref really destroyed our playoff run not getting out of the way, I mean honestly what's the probability of an injury like that occurring? The team was firing on all cylinders. People still won't give Melo props for this season he's having coming off surgery but will relate Paul George like no tomorrow (I know they're different injuries and surgeries but to come back regardless of either is an accomplishment all of its own)

I feel the same way about these two, I want Dwill back and Aaron to opt out. I feel Dwill is a great spark off the bench and he's great at getting to the line. Aaron makes a lot of head scratching decisions but he's seem to be better at moving the ball since as break but he disappears too much imo for a starter. As of now I think they'll both opt in.

Also props for seeing ahead of the time that aa does better against others teams bench unit and with our bench, I remember you've been saying that for a while now. Clyde made a comment about that last night.

Many thanks on the props and 100% agree with your points. George is a guy I stay bringing in convos up in conversations around my way too like you read my damned mind, the guy is attempting more shots than Melo this season on a worse FG% and they're at the same APG, but there's still a general acceptance that Melo is a greedy player and George is a playmaker (disclaimer: Not calling George greedy at all here, just pointing out that Melo ain't ball hogging by any means and most NBA fans have shied from acknowledging it).

AA's hot and cold game is exactly what makes him a nice bench guy and a weaker starter option, just doesn't do enough when he's not scoring. I think he's the missing veteran presence and shot taker though for that bench and I really wish they'd have done this sooner.
