The excuses for Carmelo Anthony are second to none. I don't get it.

I mean just watch other teams. With his contract and the output the Knicks are getting compared to other max players, they're getting fleeced.
It's not the first time the knicks have done it, the problem with the knicks is that they have terrible management up top. It's a cycle of bad committments they continue to make over and over again. This is the 3rd bad max contract they offer and only one of those made sense IMO (STAT) in the past 15 years.

Name some names brah

Everyone else who's getting big money. The problem is Dolan and always will be. Went through the same with Houston. In 10 years Melo will have Houstons job and Houston will be the GM

What exactly is Melo bringing to the table outside of taking a disproportionate amount of shots in relation to his talent?

I hate all this Melo trashing. It's crazy that he gets so much, just like Eli. Must be a NY thing.

You hate Melo because he is a max player who hasn't won a ring? How many max players and superstars have won rings? Lebron, Wade, Kobe, Duncan, Dirk and now Seth.

Melo is the only Superstar max player who hasn't played with another superstar let alone another all star player (tyson chandler don't count). And you can probably throw Paul George in the same category, he doesn't play with another superstar or even an all-star player.

Chris Paul has Blake and Blake has CP3, and both have never amounted to anything. Two superstars and Max players.
Durant has Westbrook and Westbrook has Durant, both haven't won a ring, I know both have been further than Melo. Two superstars and Max players.
Aldridge had Lillard and Lillard had Aldridge, both haven't done anything. Two superstars and Max Players.
Lebron has Love and Irving, and had Wade and Bosh. All superstars and Max players.
Duncan had Ginobilli, Parker, Kawhi and now Aldridge. All superstars and all star players.
Curry has Klay and Green. All "superstars" and max players.
Harden has dwight and dwight has Harden. Never amounted to anything either.

And all these players at one point or another are considered top 5 and top 10 players playing together. For yrs Melo's 2nd option was JR Smith.

I hate the Knicks owner for bending over backwards for Carmelo. Twice. This time with a no trade clause.

Melo is who he is. He's great when his shooting is hot and not very useful when it isn't. A guy like that shouldn't be draining that much cap space. We're still paying for the trade as the Knicks don't have a pick this year.

The Knicks are years and years behind the teams who have smart people in their front offices, who know how to make proactive decisions. Dolans been reactive since he took over.

All true. That being said, it hasn't worked out here and it's not going to. No one is coming in on a white horse and making this team a contender in 2016. The Knicks should trade him in the offseason before the knee gets worse and he becomes a total liability and we're just stuck with him.

I completely agree, it's time we move on from this and look forward to the next 10 yrs and not the next 2-3. I just posted about the constant hate that Melo gets, as if every other superstar and max player has won rings lol
