Several teams are expected to pursue Carmelo Anthony in the offseason.

Anthony will have control of the process as he has a no-trade clause with the New York Knicks.

Anthony would prefer to remain with the Knicks but that could change if they continue to be incapable of contending built around him.

Word to all the times I've said we can spark a bidding war in the offseason and get a better package than Boston's reported one. I'm pretty confident in the theory.

Talks of Conley possibly getting a max, and all of the guys who are lesser players than Melo getting a salary close to his, really put things in perspective; Melo's contract has plenty of value and is easily movable as long as he doesn't get injured seriously.
