Why do dudes think Walton would be a good coach?

Dude is a clown.

If Fish didn't want the job, Walton had a really good shot to be the guy, he impressed Phil back then. Add the Warriors success (even though anybody coulda won with that crew) while he was interim coach and he was bound to be mentioned. I remember being pissed about it back then

Walton: No talks with Phil since Kerr loss

Walton would at least be going against the grain. If Phil is sticking around he'd be the guy to go after...

Nobody walks into a coaching position in the middle of a season.

He didn't even ask them though.:yeshrug:

I feel a guy like Thibs would jump at it, same for Shaw. What would they have to lose and it would give them more say about off season moves.

Exactly, Walton was on his short list before and he likely a better coach now (and he could bring some of that GSW knowledge).

I think it goes Walton and then Shaw with the job offer of a big contract and a few years coaching Melo and KP. I don't see much better coaching opportunities out there.

Let me just repeat that: “yep it's a narrative push and Chris Herring uses stats a lot but I have noticed he does push agendas too”. Like I said before, Herring is a snake and anti-Knicks trash. Here's someone justifying his trash “journalism”:

I feel like Melo lack the ability to help people around him grow/develop..

cause I don't think they should've traded away Tim Hardaway JR..

He could've been a good propect to build with KP if they kept him...he could shoot the ball and he could play D#..the Knicks just never helped him develop

Trash Hardaway Jr. can do no such thing. KP isn't "growing" and "developing" without all those wide open shots he gets from 'Melo commanding so much defensive attention and screening for him. Therefore, how you "feel" is a lie and irrelevant. Knicks fans don't need your anti-'Melo propaganda that you got from the media because you can't think for yourself.

that all have to do with development.. which is horrible in ATL

it took 5 seasons for Schroder to be decent where they feel like they don't need Teague anymore

so that's a bad situation for THJR to be in...

They still need Teague. Shroder is trash and regressed this season.

32 With lingering knee issues
Ur not fooling any1

Melo would cost to much to acquire for any team

They would either have to give up alotta good young pieces

Or 1 big piece

And melo cares about his money and brand alot

That thrives in ny which is the mecca he dont wanna leave

And he's probably under the impression fas will come also

He's not 32.

His knee is not "lingering". It's been less than a year since the surgery. That's like saying Shump had "lingering" knee issues just because he couldn't finish at the rim right away. Now Shump is one of the most efficient finishers in the league.

What money? You mean the buku millions he left on the table by locking himself in to a 4 year deal and not renegotiating his contract next season when the cap will go way up (like Lebron will do), plus the extra 5 million he left on the table that his contract offers?:jbhmm: If 'Melo had pulled a Lebron, NY wouldn't have money to do anything.
