all on the coaching...running the same set over and over and over and expecting results..........
they get no layups unless its off a rebound from lopez
when the warriors run their offense and parts of the triangle...they continue to move.........
its just basically...dump it off in the post...and NOBODY MOVE
trash
derek fisher can go fukk himself
When they played the Knicks I saw them run a play that the Knicks run often, but in their version the shot resulted in a three rather than a long two, which shows how they've adapted it for the modern NBA. The Warriors and a few other teams run triangle sets, but it's far from a focal point for those teams, and have a myriad of other sets they can go to.With the Knicks, it feels like the same cuts and screens are being set most of the time. There has to be more to the offense, and Fisher has to willing to try something different when the offense stagnates.

It's over. I'm laughing watching this shyt because I know we peaked a long time ago. We can't continue with this roster. We need at least three more solid players to make the playoffs.

Agreed. Melo, KP, and Rolo are keepers everyone else can be traded for a PG. Especially because I am pretty sure that fact the Knicks were healthier than most the league early is what kept them around 500. We have depth (for once) but it is either to old or too young.

No Jose calderon on the floor and Jerian Grant has been getting thorughly outplayed by Sasha Vujacic, who looks much more comfortable running the Knicks offense. :francis:
You would like Fisher to divert from the triangle with the bench and more high PNR with Grant-Porzingis. Fish did a terrible job staggering KP's minutes tonight so he can play with the second unit mor e often. As a 5th year senior, Jerian has probably been the most disapppointing Knick on this roster based on how he looked earlier in the preseason and the Summer League. I'm one year away from fully giving up on this dude.:stopitslime:

NY's offense has been good for months. It won't be perfect every night. No one's is. Boston is a good defensive team. Triangle didn't cause 'Melo, KP, and Gallo to struggle tonight. They just missed shots. NY scored enough in the 4th to win. They just couldn't get stops. They gave up 52 points in the 2nd half (27 in the 4th). The defense was trash tonight. Boston missed a lot of open 3's all night and got a lot of buckets at the rim in the 4th.

No one has adapted the Triangle to the modern NBA. People have adapted it to their roster. The Spurs' offense primarily gets midrange jumpers, just like the Triangle. That's why the Spurs brought in LMA, who is a great midrange jumpshooter. Parker is a great midrange jumpshooter. Half of their team are good, to great, midrange jumpshooters. And unlike NY, they have consistent screeners to get them open from the midrange.

Klay and Curry are great wide open 3-point shooters, and so is most of their roster, so Kerr has tailored the Triangle to give them open 3's. And unlike NY, they have consistent screeners to get them open. He got his strategy from Mike Woodson's offense in the Knicks' 2012-2013 season because he saw how unguardable it was for that Knicks team, particularly against Miami. During the game in Miami, he raved about how "they're gonna be tough all year because they get open looks, even without Carmelo" because "moving the ball to jack up 3's" is a good strategy and that's why "Miami can't guard the ball".

NY's offense is already solid. To make it more potent, they need more people that fit the system (something the 2012-2013 Knicks team had, the current Warriors have, and current Spurs have). They need consistent screeners to get them open (something the current Warriors, Spurs, and Thunder all have). And good 3-point shooters would help (something the current Warriors and Spurs both have, the Thunder don't have it but are still potent because they have great shooters everywhere). Here are NY's and the Spurs' shot charts on the season. They are very similar. This is the "Basic Zones" view of the charts:

He been getting worse and worse:francis:

I just want some W's, how come they don't want us man:to:

His shooting certainly didn't cost NY the game. He was one of the only ones who shot well tonight. The answer to your question of wins is defense. NY needs to defend to win. They haven't done that in over a month. They gave up 27 in the 4th. The defense was trash tonight. Boston missed a lot of open 3's all night and got a lot of buckets at the rim in the 4th.
