Where would he fit tho? I'm pretty sure Jackson doesn't want Porzingas to play center for awhile. So how are you going to work in Batum and Anthony? I don't see Batum as a two guard.

I was wondering the same thing

He would get his minutes from a combination of mostly Lance Thomas, Melo when he is sitting, D Will when he's not on Fire, and Afflalo's.

I think the knicks big situation is a lot better than its wings and guards. The knicks probably won't resign Seraphin but even with him leaving the knicks have pretty damn good depth at Center. The Best Spanish Center since the Gasol's is on lock and they got 3 guys under contract.

The best guard FA is a long time will be 2017, so paying extra for a guy like Jennings or Conley in 2016 who aren't elite doesn't make sense. So the best move in my mind is to get a wing who helps the team look better when Melo sits and can be put next to him and AA if they go small. That to me is batum.

:yeshrug:

A 11 man small ball lineup of

Rolo / kp
Melo
Batum
AA
Calderon

Could work. We've seen how Rolo and KP can work well apart. Lance is playing great and deserves to be in a rotation but Batum running over screens to make open 3 in the triangle is still a better look.

Also a line up of

Any of our bigs
Batum
Lance
AA
Gallo

is going to shut teams down defensively while Melo sits. If the plan is to keep Melo playing at this level between now and 2017 to try and get a Star player with Max money, they need to be able to let Melo sit for more minutes and to do that they need to give him a sub like Batum who could help defend any lead the knicks have gained and who could play off of AA with the second unit.

:jbhmm:

But honestly 2016 is a shytty FA, and Whiteside doesn't pass for shyt. You saw Rolo out there moving the ball, Whiteside can't do that. However, all the Bigs Phil brought to NY are good passers with some offensive range.

Yea, hopefully Afflalo ops in so we are set at the 2.

That means Afflalo, Melo & Porzingis.

But, if we don't move Lopez...

I mean...everything is pointing to the 1.

But who?

We actually probably wouldn't have to spend too much bread. We'd probably be able to spread it around.

Note that I look at it seriously, Knicks are in good fukking position.

I think Derrick Williams is the official 3-4 if the bench.

Galloway is the back up 1.

shyt, the way lane Thomas is playing, he may stay on too.

Damn...we are going to have something special next year

Great team win :salute:

Smashed on an old rival from start to finish on their court. The team is learning how to close out games. Team defense has improved IMMENSELY. The offense is getting more efficient and they seem to get a decent shot every time down the floor.

Melo has emerged as a really effective passer/playmaker while still giving buckets.

KP is a high energy, 7'3" goon and a double-double machine. Yea Bosh was sh*tting on him last night but that's what all-star vets do, sh*t on rookies.

RoLo looking like Olajuwon with the footwork out chea :blessed:

AA is playing better than expected :blessed:

The bench is solid :blessed:

And last but not least gotta give it up to D. Fish. He tightened up the team defense and solidified his rotations :salute:

It's been a great week
