most ruthless diss since Ether.

push got a classic duo album with his brother, classic solo album(Daytona) n classic diss track. he's solidified that hall of fame status.
Let it go fam that shyt didn’t put one dent in Drake’s catalog, it was hot for a second... Drake still dropping classics :mjlol:

The man makes pop music. Wouldnt call it hiphop
:yeshrug:

But to think Pusha didn't hurt him is ridiculous. He was in pain and it left a big dent in his credibility. It's definitely the biggest L in his career. And he admitted it on the radio, so you can't take that away

Drake backed out of this beef, he knew there was more to reveal so he fell back.

And he couldn't even be the one to own up to it, he had to have a third party (J Prince) settle it for him, someone who had nothing to do with the battle. It's disgusting to have your daddy step in when you're a youngster, but even more so when you're an adult. Speaks volumes about their character. Fight your own battles Drake!

If Pusha really hurt drake then drake wouldn’t be able to drop a 3 piece with no bundle and still debate 1,2,3 on the billboard...

Reality setting it breh it’s over Push lost :mjlol:

Nobody said "Hit Em Up" didn't hurt BIG because he was still charting and selling records.

Nobody said "Ether" didn't hurt Jay because he was still charting and selling records.

You cats gotta stop trying to rewrite the rules for a Canadian child actor man. shyt is crazy. Dude got hoe'd in a rap battle so bad another man had to step in on his behalf and you're talking about Billboard placement like a Taylor Swift fan.

Ok.

Actually tons of people have said that bout the Jay Z and Nas beef....the whole "Nas won the battle, but Hov won the war" thing has been a constant narrative amongst the rap chattering class for pretty much the entire 20 years since the diss... Jay fans tout his success in the Industry as evidence that losing a tit for tat against Nas did nothing to affect his standing in the game in the long run

And Pusha ain't Nas (K-Dot is Nas to Drake's Jay)

Losing a rap battle is like getting dunked on in the NBA...cute for discussion's sake and all that... people still talk about that time Tatum dunked on LeBron in a he ECF a few years back...but LeBron is still LeBron...Hit 'Em Up and Ether ain't no a damn thing to stop Big or Jay from being GOATs...this Pusha track is like one or two teirs below that, and ain't did a goddamn thing to stop Drake from being the defining Hov level rapper of his we era

I really wanted him to stick to the battling like he did Meek, it seems like he picks his own battles and he couldn't go further without someone guiding him like J Prince. The baby reveal wasn't even bad, it was the blackface photo that he couldn't come back from. I'm still shocked at that photo really.
