It didn't. "Ether" really earned it's rep when Jay went on the radio crying about losing the poll. Which was shortly after "Ether" came out.

Drake was still crying about "TSOA" December 2019....which was a year and a half later. Plus 40 was whining about it last month, too.

40 hadnt done an interview since the battle. they asked he answered. it wouldve be strange for him not to speak on it.
i remember a xxl interview where they asked memphis bleek about ether around the time jay z became president of def jam.

i really dont think people care as much as yall do. drake is still drake.
