He has had a great promo run of solo attention for the kind of rapper he is. (Lyrical and a OG)

His album could of had a nice clear run of solo attention from the press and media.

Instead Kendrick is dropping may 15 and is going to steal ALL that energy and discussion.

At least he'll have a nice 3 weeks though

So what is Kendrick supposed to do? Wait for every rapper who MIGHT release an album to drop so he can be a gentleman? That ain’t Hip Hop.


Back in the good old days you had big dogs dropping on the same DAY let alone the same month. Jay had to go up against Tribe AND Outkast on his release day and he didn’t complain. Nas went against Jeezy during Jeezy’s absolute PEEK and didn’t complain. J.Cole pushed his album UP to go against Kanye.


Push is going to do what he was going to do and Kendrick has nothing to do with that.

What energy and discussion? He’s gonna do 30k or less and that will be that, regardless. The hardcore fans will discuss the album regardless. Nobody else cares.
