Everyone's so excited in this thread because it dawned on us what we could have in the game.

We were spoilt back in the day when we would get these type of collabs and calibre of verses on the regular. We became so accustomed to it we thought we would eat forever :mjcry:....Esco era Nas...Jay...AZ...Clipse

These new kids are not feeding us anymore.

I miss the era when rappers rapped like they had some sense...class..where they would name drop classic flicks, hood legends and obscure 70s references...designer shyt you hadn't heard of. Those little touches made the music sound more like a documentary... It brought the world of the hustla into your living room.

I'm just in my feelings because I know these type of songs will be few and far in between in the future.

:mjcry:

Well put.

As far as the bolded, they don't have to be.

If we spent as much time applauding the shyt we love,

as we do giving attention to bullshyt,

this could become the popular style of rap again.

Or at least we can get joints like this,

as well as Roc Marci and Griselda Records type shyt,

on a much more consistent basis.

Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
It definitely don't....

My 50+ year old father in law just got knocked a few months back...

The shyt don't stop.

Lol @ people not liking the Damn Daniel line...not cause they think it's wack, but cause they think it's wack Jay-Z said it :deadmanny:

Why can't the GOAT find shyt funny too?

I love the Bling Bling reference too, tbh. Maybe it'll make this kids go back and actually listen to the song that it came from... I'd bet most listeners under 20 haven't heard it

Anybody else said that shyt nikkas would be like bars...

As far as nikka being beyond their years hustling though... nikkas have decent jobs with grown ass kids still hustling. shyt is in their blood. That fast money...

Hov verse was decent. I realize a lot of y'all are clamoring on the lyrics..the mic presence.

But here's my issues.

- in Jay's catalogue this is about a 5 out of 10
-'now u may applaud a cat that's in the game this long but nah...Black Thought, Nas, Rae, Monch and others have been the in the game as long or longer and we don't "settle" for average verses
- seriously a 46 yr old, who's been rich for 20+ years from legit money sounds silly to me with this drug talk
- are there clever moments, yes, earf shattering? No. Y'all really going crazy over "Damn Daniel" lines from a damn near 50 yr old? Blu should spit that line
- Just cuz there's walk mufukkas out...don't mean there ain't still spitters. (Crooked, elzhi, Kendrick, Royce, Ace, Los, Blu)
Unless you are 46 I don't know why you are acting like you know what they find funny.

I'm not that old but I can definitely show my dad memes that he laughs at.

It's 2016, where cats in NY are thinking about exiting the fukkery to settle down at 40+.

It definitely don't....

Cmon man stop it.

50 yr old drug kingpins are not in large supply.

How many times have u heard hustlers themselves say moving that kind of weight, for a long time usually lands u dead or in jail?

Jay himself has said it.

his verse is responding to the interview lady who called him nothing but a glorified drug dealer...

And other than that he has like 2 other drug references...

What song were you listening to? Actin like this is thug motivation 101 jeezy bars

Beat is nice. You don't hear this type of shyt anymore. Pusha solid as always. Jay's verse was very good, especially being the year 2016. If Magna Carta was more like this song it probably would've been a solid 8 out of ten.

Normally I would hate these bars, but I actually loved the "damn daniel" and bling bling references.

Solid track, although I don't get the hype over Jay's verse. IMO he's at his best when he raps fast, or changes the speed throughout. Pusha's verse was kind of bland, as usual.
