Definition of buying high and selling low. With that said, if Trey requests a trade theres not much they can do about it.

He can request a trade but he got zero leverage. He got three years left on his rookie deal and they could franchise him after that. Can't even renegotiate until after next year. Yeah he can sit out but that mean he don't get paid. Nature of the beast

Couple things

First, you right that Trey’s got no leverage. He can request a trade but that don’t mean that Lynch has to honor it. Remember Deebo’s trade request last year?

Second, after this season’s done Trey will have 2 years left on his deal. The team would have to decide whether or not to pick up his 5th year option after the 2023 season. And as of now, it’s not looking like they will. The smart move is to roll with Brock/Trey/Cheap Vet QB3/Rookie QB4 and see what happens from there. A lot can change in a year
