I think they were trying to make it something out of nothing. Said that Trey put a "Fingers crossed" emoji after Carthon was hired by the Titans. Basically trying to say he hopes he goes there if Purdy starts. If Kyle isn't going to use him correctly than they should trade him. shyt is not fair at all. Running that dumb ass RPO and that wasn't even his offense in college.

Tannehill bum ass will be cut. I don't see anyone trading for him. Then Malik Willis and Josh Dobbs are the only QBs left.
Looking at the big picture, I can see a scenario where Trey gets traded in 2024

He needs to go someplace where he can play. Whether he’s good or bad, he needs to play. And it’s probably not gonna happen here now that Brock took his spot

Yeah. Still have to see if Brock is Nick Foles or not. A full season will determine if it's fantasy or real.

So I could see them holding on to him for another year

Cannot trade Trey unless someone offer up something crazy in return. Even if Purdy is this good going forward

I feel for Trey because his luck been terrible so far, but even if he enter 2023 as the backup, we all know he just a play away from being the starter again. And him plus Purdy still one of the cheapest QB rooms in the league.

Getting rid of Trey now would be retarded. Terrible asset management.
Definition of buying high and selling low. With that said, if Trey requests a trade theres not much they can do about it.

I don't think Trey requests a trade unless we go to the SB at the very least and Brock plays very well in the SB.

Yea. I mean if the man wants to leave then so be it but we shouldn’t proactively trade him yet.

He can request a trade but he got zero leverage. He got three years left on his rookie deal and they could franchise him after that. Can't even renegotiate until after next year. Yeah he can sit out but that mean he don't get paid. Nature of the beast :manny:

Couple things

First, you right that Trey’s got no leverage. He can request a trade but that don’t mean that Lynch has to honor it. Remember Deebo’s trade request last year?

Second, after this season’s done Trey will have 2 years left on his deal. The team would have to decide whether or not to pick up his 5th year option after the 2023 season. And as of now, it’s not looking like they will. The smart move is to roll with Brock/Trey/Cheap Vet QB3/Rookie QB4 and see what happens from there. A lot can change in a year

Trae is way too cheap to trade him unless some team goes full retard and offers us a couple of premium draft picks.

Keeping Trae basically lets us play with the salary cap and pay Bosa and possibly Aiyuk.
