Yea but a lot can happen along the way. We still haven’t seen Purdy go through any adversity and that worries me.
Do you want him to be down 27-0 and throw 4 interceptions in the first half and then come back and win the game? :troll:

My guy the Niners were down 24-14 to the Raiders earlier this month and he brought us back.

Yall gotta let that boy do his thing instead of worrying about the negative things and then coming back in here saying “I told you so..”

TYRONE GA!
Jets or maybe the bears, isn’t he from Chicago?

Yeah, he went to NIU.

Why spend that free agency money on his though? Bears got too many holes to spend it on some damn Jimmy G for premium bread. Go sign Tyrod and call it a day (easiest way to keep cac :mjpls: fans from wanting to put in the Cac Backup QB is to get a black backup QB. They shutup then). :mjpls:

he uses his legs well though... he gets rid of the ball or creates an opportunity and it feels to me he is in full control while doing it.
The problem with moving left like that is it exposes his weak arm. Beyond that he’s been fantastic so far.

Brock had to bring the team back after down 10 in the second half against the Raiders. Then he had to overcome his bad first half in his first playoff start and he did

There hasn’t been a lot of adversity but he’s been in a few difficult situations and he’s passed every test so far :manny:

Why does adversity have to mean he’s down by a bunch of points. Raiders are not a playoff team. The more he plays, the better but it also provides more for good Dcoordinators and defenses to pick apart. Folk think it will be smooth sailing as we play complete teams with good offenses, defenses and coaching. Then thr Shanny factor

Again adversity does not have to mean being down. It could mean missing key players as well.

If he plays at this level then we can win a Chip. But anything can happen.

Just make sure CMC and Kittle remain healthy.

He's not super wrong though. You need experience against a good team being in a bad spot, where they know you're going to pass, before being in the playoffs. Every team in the playoffs ain't the Raiders. If his first time being down two possessions is against the Eagles in the 3rd quarter we're all gonna be drunk by the end of the game.

Our next game is either against the Bucs with a bad Brady or playoff Dak and I don't think either of them will put us in a tough position at home. If the Eagles beat the Giants? That's gonna be a stacked deck.

The thing about this team is that we have soooo many weapons at offense we don’t rely on ONE player to make key plays. Last year Deebo was the key star player. This year we have WAAAAY to many weapons it’s scary..

So you basically saying you want to see how Brock looks when all them weapons are being taken away and he plays with the 2nd and 3rd string.

The Yay
I noticed he loves to move left to the sidelines when pressured, both plays amounted to nothing. Things like that will be noticed by a good d-cord
Yeah there are a few tendencies. That spin out can be devastated by good edge players or lbs. I mean he got sacked out of fg range due to spinning out like that in the AZ game.

But the improv/mobility is why I feel less concerned abour adverse situations with him. With Jimmy out there in must pass situation it was so easy to know what he was doing - pass over the middle. With Brock defenses have to cover all areas (and he will take deep shots if they cheating) plus account for his mobility. CMC helps too of course.

what I’m saying is he hasn’t had to deal with adversity yet and I want to see how that works out. Take away a weapon..take away the YAC. Maybe some of those errant throws turn into picks. Just saying the unknown worries me.

And it ain’t just him…oOur D is good but has weak spots a good OC will exploit that. Do we really think we are unbeatable?

I don't think anyone is saying they want to see Brock in that situation but it's a natural thing to go :lupe: about shyt we don't know about.

I actually don't remember if people were as scared about Kaep never facing that much adversity in 2012. But then he did in the NFCCG and the Superbowl and dude showed he could handle it.
