We Kept Zakelj over Poe because Zakelj has experience at LT and RT and we cut Justin Skule. Poe wil like be on the practice squad. Kyle values versatility.
isnt he being groomed for center? regardless of his experience he didnt show next to shyt. our line is trash and we holding onto players who are half ass at their position because FO dont wanna show they fukked up

Just not sure Trey's skillset fits Deebo yet :patrice:

Its not just Ayiuk balling. Downfield threat is going to do better with Trey.

Kyle might put Jimmy out there every now and then to throw those short passes to Deebo :wow:

I’m still trying to figure out why Kyle choose Trey over fields. Accuracy and ball placement are keys in Kyle’s offense and it looks like Trey is a year or two away from being able to consistently be accurate like Josh Allen.

And Josh Allen's accuracy dipped in the regular season to 63% this year. Even if he's off a bit the offense is still built to make those home run throws.

Kyle's offense is about precision. Perfectly schemed up plays that create lots of YAC

Maybe he plans to run the RG3 offense until he develops thats precision. Which would make sense why he kept Jimmy cause Trey will be more susceptible to getting nicked up.

TBF Trey did complete 67% his freshman year. However, the routine throws just arent there consistently yet.

I was saying the same thing when we drafted dude. Fields was the obvious choice to me. :yeshrug:

Most O linemen picked after round 3 are developmental prospects. We needed to bring in seasoned veterans.

Fields got a huge hitch in his throwing motion, Trey gets knocked for having a windup but there was a breakdown of all the first round QBs last year and Fields literally take twice as long as the rest of em from start of throwing motion to finish. Feel like that was the deal breaker in an offense that prize getting the ball out quick. Fields a better fit for a vertical offense

Also take a look at Fields numbers last year. I understand the team and coach was ass but his numbers was trash. Completed 59% his passes with a 6.9 YPA, 7 TD vs 10 INT, QB rating of 72. Trey completed 58%, 8.5 YPA, 5 TDs vs 2 INT, passer rating of 97 but you listen to the internet, Trey a bust and Fields a first ballot hall of famer

The reason is as you stated fields team is trash. That o-line is god awful for the bears and Fields still put in work with no real offensive weapons and a trash offensive system. Trey has everything one can ask for so when he struggles it looks worse. Fields can struggle because of his circumstances, Trey can not. The fact their numbers are so close is more of a testament to Fields than it is to Trey.

The numbers not close though. Trey's numbers significantly better

You project Trey's numbers out to the same number of pass attempts it shows that

Trey
156 out of 270, 58% completion percentage
19 TDs
8 INTs
2,295 yards
97.3 rating

Fields
159 out of 270, 59% completion percentage
7 TDs
10 INTs
1,870 yards
73.2 rating

I think the delta between the stats is more than explained by the fact that Fields was playing with possibly the worst offensive supporting cast and coaching in the league while Trey has one of the best.
