I don't think they did.

Kyle let this turn into a track meet by letting Jimmy pass all over the place. This game was always the perfect litmus test to let us know where we actually are as a squad. The defense is getting a little exposed, but Jimmy has more pass attempts than Mahomes does. In what world is that smart?

this offense with Mahomes is nearly double the league average on 3rd and 7+ yards to go...(and we're like bottom three Im almost certain)

they had good gameplan to use aggressiveness against us

they havent played well at all but all Im trying to say I think this on-pace-to-be-historic defense narrative was largely fueled by playing the likes of Bears and Broncos. they aint AS good
