The fact that he didnt go to NJPW or something indicates to me not only was he burnt out but they killed his love for rasslin
Not a fan of Punk's in the least but if his recollection is true, I can't blame him at all for chucking up the deuces and bouncing.
Said it before but it seems that in the current climate?
If you're not a generational wrestler, one of Hunters boys, or named John Cena, this company would be depressing to work for.
Phil went out top, at least.
Made a killing, won his legal battle against Vince & the suits, and gets to blow out AJ's back.
:manny:
he won the lawsuit? When?

Interesting going through this and seeing all the reactions and opinions over it, especially as they’d change over time :ehh:

Still miss him

And this open Dr Lawsuit plus Dana "giving him one more shot" means he aint coming to even do a ALL IN show or any type of wrestling event let alone WWE

Sad part is he'd probably get some mainstream pub from a return but WWE would make an example so its best he doesnt

What would he even stand to gain from coming back? The way they operate these days, 1998 Steve Austin or 1999 rock would get pushed aside for Roman so it’s not like punk would get the one thing he wanted and didn’t get. Beyond that, he put on plenty of great matches, got mainstream buzz, and made a ton of money. In spite the of this, they never really valued him, so why return at all?

I actually think if he was willing to consider he would drive a hard bargain to actually get a special top guy deal ironically and Vince would give it. Not with Hunter in charge though (Even though he has directly squashed his own beefs with people to bring it back)

What? There was never gonna be a top guy part time deal for him because he's not that big.
