This nikka been a fraud for so long its crazy. First learn how the government works. I get so sick of my people trying to shyt on Obama complaining about not getting things taken care of in our community when they have no idea what it takes to get it done in the first place. This nikka has quite the nerve he's made more money off black dollars than anybody and wants to complain about how the underprivileged arent taken care of and in the same breath release music based on Paid in Full and then promote the shyt with Ciroc. Where are these celebs at when local voting is taking place? Thats where the difference is made not that bullshyt Vote or Die garbage where he was just trying to make it cool to vote just to put his face out there. I love to see my people make it and I can never really deep down hate on him but at least educate yourself on the way the government works (ironic he didnt do so when he was on the Vote of Die shyt) before you start throwing darts at the man who's done a hell of a lot more for people in 8 years than you.

As much as i feel you 500% about your point, @ bolded is WHY they do it. The whole "put his/their face out there" is HOW entertainers get paid. EVERY SINGLE ENTERTAINER/BUSINESS PERSON in the business rely on FUNDERS/Investors. Always have been that way i've tried to tell people.

I'm not gonna front like i'm in the deep about specific people like @The HONORABLE SKJ, but i do know things & can read between lines.

So that "Vote Or Die" shyt, i never ever thought that was Diddy/Puff's own thing. He's the face, just like rappers/singers/actors etc are faces of alcohol products, perfume & the entire list goes on.

It has to do with demographics & who those who invest or started the business are targeting. With Puff/Diddy - you know who..basically "us". Black folks. Young black folks. And with his influence in the industry, it eventually makes more sense/cents ($$$). And then they gonna rap/sing about it & namedrop it (which again is them putting their face/voice on something and in turn climbs the industry ladder and make money) and eventually it'll be cool to everybody watching them.

Been the game for ever 30 years.

Trust me I understand and I wasn't trying to make it seem like he was solely responsible for that whole movement. Everyone has backers/investors and I know he was just the Lady Elouise of that shyt but my issue is he trying to act all sympathetic toward the underprivileged years later and criticize what he thinks Obama hasnt done when he don't even know the way to go about solving those issues to begin with. If he really wanted to help he would educate himself and actually do something than someone who has been bussin his ass for 7 years on the job. He just throws temper tantrums and fights coaches at USC when his son sucks. He just a bored rich loudmouth that feels like taking up causes when they suit him. Just like this MMM album. He just saw Paid In Full 13 years later and want to make this shyt. L.E.$. did it better last year with Cookin Soul anyway

1. While Vote or Die undoubtedly was a great movement, Puff says in here that it was black people who got Obama elected. Uhhhh, not really. We make up 13% of the population. We were not the deciding factor. Whomever convinced so many WHITE people to vote for him was what got the victory. Lets be real here...black people were going to vote for him anyway. Thats been one of the dreams of our community - to get a black man in the White House.

2. Too often I see an ignorance of how the government works. Puff didn't mention Congress at all. That's where we are losing. Vote or Die would have been more important in the congressional elections. That's where nobody shows up to vote, and when voter turnout is low, Republicans win. You want jobs Puff? Are you aware of Obama's job plan of 2010 that was going to provide thousands of blue collar jobs across the country to rebuild our infrastructure? Black people would have greatly benefitted from these jobs. That he set it up so it would be paid for by an extra %.7 on all Americans making $1,000,000 or more. GUESS WHO SHOT HIS BILL DOWN.

3. I wish he would have expanded on "direct aid to black people". Thats wayyyy too general. You mean send every black person a check? Or fund programs? What programs? Will it be legal?

4. Education? Obama's 2010 jobs bill was also going to send $30 billion to modernize 35,000 public schools. Again, it was going to be paid for by rich people. Again, GUESS WHO SHOT HIS BILL DOWN.

Obama is not above being criticized. But unfortunately a lot of the criticism I hear coming from people in our community is grounded in ignorance of how the government works.
100% great post.

After watching this video it's clear that Puffy has absolutely no political sense and probably should avoid talking politics because it's not a good look. If you have no sense yourself you might not understand this but Puffy talking politics is equal to the dude talking about basketball and calling the basketball court a "field"

How did white people win him the race when only 43% chose to vote for him in 2008 (How Groups Voted in 2008 - Roper Center) and an even lower 39% voted for him in 2012 (How Groups Voted in 2008 - Roper Center)? It does not matter that In addition, the number of white people who participated in the election was stagnant while the number of black voters reached record highs (Blacks outvoted whites in 2012, the first time on record.) If black voters would have stayed home, as usual when white people are the candidates, then Obama would not have won. That is why political scientists and pundits say that minorities won him the elections (Minority Turnout Determined the 2012 Election), and that is also why Republicans have been STRESSING minority outreach since 2012. They had nearly 60% on the white vote, but they still loss. How are you going to criticize Diddy for not knowing how the government works when you have no idea how elections work?

The fact of the matter is this - Black people didn't contribute enough financially to get our agendas passed. That's it, that's all politicians care about or respect. They don't give a fukk if you vote, they just want your check.

My point wasn't that whites won him the election, just that lets not give all the credit to blacks. ESPECIALLY when what Puff is taking credit for is actually just convincing people to actually vote. Since you seem to know statistics, then you should know that blacks overwhelmingly vote Democrat anyway. So a black Democrat running for President? Of course we voted for him. But still we make up only %13 of the population. And for those of us that live in red states, our vote is nullified anyway. And I don't want us taking credit for actually voting because that's something you're supposed to do anyway right? Like dudes bragging about taking care of their own children.

All that being said, your last statement makes no sense. I can't criticize Puff on his government knowledge since I don't know how elections work? Huh? Whether black people were the key group to get him the victory or not, doesn't affect my main point. We need to learn who's really keeping us from the support we need and stop acting like Obama is a tyrant who can do whatever the helll he wants. Do you think Puff is even aware of Obama's 2010 Jobs Bill that was designed to give much of what Puff is saying he should have given us? This is not rocket science.

You explicitly stated, "Whomever convinced so many WHITE people to vote for him was what got the victory." Yes, your point was that 39% of white voters won him the election.

Would you not agree that from the moment he started his campaign, the challenge was getting white votes? Surely you know that he pretty much had the black vote in pocket as a black Democrat? So my point is that Puffs contributions, while positive, probably don't entitle him to say "we won him this election"?

Ya'll can talk shyt about Diddy being poisonous, but Diddy ain't killing children with drones. Those shyt are done by presidential green lights. Obama got wayy too much blood on his hands. Bush killed a million indirectly, but Obama killed more people directly than Bush. He also wasn't easy on marijuana at all. All these postive steps have been done on the state level, while the DEA and ATF were cracking down on the federal level.
