Not sure what this photo proves?

Someone could take a picture in 1900 with a group of black people and say "Americans in the year 1900" without discussing the demographics of the place in that year.

They don't look nearly as jaded as most other Blacks from that era. They must have been well off. In fact, minus the clothing, they'd fit right in with modern society.

Why are we so pressed for Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, etc. to acknowledge they're black or whatever?

The level of self awareness needed to answer that question truthfully won’t be found or admitted to here.

What do we gain when any of them acknowledge it, is the next question.
