It is but just close your eyes and order it. Worry about the repercussions later :blessed:

affordability isn’t the issue but I feel like I wasted money on the PSVR and the quest 1…I sold the former and the latter is just collecting dust…it’s too much to purchase on a whim for me to just use it for like a game or two before I get bored

I'm not gonna lie, I'm scared of that too. I had kinect, my son has psvr, my mom has an oculus and I didn't really use any of them like that. It was cool for 15 minutes, then I wanted to sit down and game.

I think it was the games though. This is supposed to be cutting edge tech they are putting out. And for that reason, I know they'll put money behind the games. I'm already thinking how dope it would be to battle these machines in person. With the controllers and the lack of a camera, I think I'll play a lot more often. Probably not daily. But I'm good with a few times a week session.

For anybody who has played RE Village I’m planning to get it for PSVR2. I see there a first person and third person view but I’m not sure if the base game has first person or gold edition adds it on. If I’m planning to only play in VR is the base game sufficient?

yea I feel the same way...I'll probably cop down the road but I'mma let the catalog build up first and see if I'm interested in playing those games in VR

The base game is first person view, the gold edition adds 3rd person mode. You get VR free with the base game

Edge went hands on with Switchback and has this to say:
"It's an eye-tracking feature, though, that lingers longest after our demo. A door painted with the instruction "don't blink" opens up into a room of blood-smeared mannequins in harlequin masks, their bodies twisted into unnatural poses. Eventually we can't help it any more, and let our eyelids flutter closed. When they open again, the mannequins have been rearranged - or have rearranged themselves. Another blink, and it happens again, except that one of them has now come to life. As we repeat this process, we learn to use our eyes tactically, only blinking once our guns are readied. It's a strange, startling application of the tech."

Even if its not personally for you, you have to admit shyt like this is now possible and its only gonna get better
Interesting.

However, the last line of that quote isn't necessarily gushing over the concept. "Strange" and "Startling" could be code for this idea isn't all that fun.

I'll stick to my PSVR1 on PS4 in the living room and will wait til the price drop. Near $600 is still too much for me not to play PSVR2 that much plus, upcoming PS5 games and know I probably will play more new games than play PSVR2.

I will wait for PSVR2 on Black Friday 2023
