The best part about this is( and my reason for posting) it loops back around to my point that exclusives while they help they aren't the reason the majority of people buy systems from Sony or Microsoft.

People play the same old multiplayer and multi platform games to play with there friends 80 percent of the time and that's all they need.

The rest is just internet and gamedom talk

People play what there friends are playing and thats why Sony also isn't huge on cross play because when people can pick any old system or device to play on it Hurts them harder than anyone else.

Nintendo is the only company with a iconic brand that world wide and that people buy a system or clothes, food, and anything under the sun for

Xbox has no 1st party games to even register :mjlol:
Our first party game FH5 already surpassed every PS5 game in 2 days, that doesn't register?
didn't you hear 5 million people logged into gamepass to play forza. A entire year to get an exclusive :mjlol:
Have you played Psychonauts 2 yet :ohhh:
Whats even funnier is after halo they are probably gonna be waiting a whole year more for another exclusive game. Xbots are STARVING

Gamepass is like how i have to give my dog dry food to make sure he doesn’t starve waiting for his actual meal throughout the day, but even my dog isn’t dumb enough to know that isnt an adequate substitution
The gunk comes out 1 week after Halo on December 16th :francis:
Same fanbase.
Souls games arent niche anymore.
You wasn't talking about the dance of the more successful spinoff series. Demons souls flopped during 2 generations :umad:
BOTW dispels that weak single player vs mutiplayer argument.
The three single player games on the list achieves the same thing, they just tripping. Demons souls being on there proves it more than botw because it's not popular yet still ranks

People don’t buy multiplayer or multiplatform games on switch, thats the point. They have a shyt online system and terrible hardware. When was the last time you heard of people playing CoD on switch?
Spin again. Cap again.

Splatoon
Mario Kart 8
Smash Bros Ultimate
Pokémon Sword/Pokémon Shield
Pokemon Let's Go
Super Mario Party

...all mutiplayer games that have sold 10+ milion. You could argue that Nintendo has the biggest multilayer games of the Big 3 despite the trash online experience...and either way BOTW still doesnt have that issue.

I really dont know what else to say. The numbers are right there in the link I provided.

Yes, they buy nintendo games on nintendo systems

Now show me how much people are playing mario odyssey, Metroid dread, yoshi, etc over their multiplayer titles like smash bros and mario kart

This is such a dog shyt article.

So the most played games, based off the amount of time spent playing the games, are all extremely popular online multiplayer games?

Isn't that obvious?

The state of gaming journalism today is pure trash. Then they wonder why nobody respects kotaku when it comes to gaming news and opinions.

If that's the case, why does Sony and occasionally Nintendo sale 100+ million consoles and yet Microsoft can't seem to do so?:smugbiden:

You are not making the point you think you're making by listing a bunch of 1st party Nintendo games. I know y'all are desperate for a narrative, but this ain't it.

They will never answer this

They also won’t answer why microsoft felt the need to go out and spend 8.3 billion on a publisher for exclusives if they didn’t matter

This is only true for MS. That's why they had to resort to giving them away.
