Would have preferred a 2-year window but I understand why it's 3. This is so games that were in the midst of cross-gen development during the release of the PS5 have time to fully come to market.

Damn the performance, Sony is not trying to have 200 million consoles sold and 1st party titles only selling barely a mill after 2 months because scalpers own all the consoles

Not surprising. Older PlayStation consoles usually have extensive support into a new generation. The last PS3 title was released last year, FIFA before that in 2018 in terms of a staple release.

It's the smart thing to do if you want big budget games.

Why limit the potential consumer base to a brand new extremely difficult to find console? Only reason this looks bad is because stans spent months shytting on Microsoft for being open with their intent to support last generation.
