I went through three 360's due to the RROD I think.
Microsoft was great with the customer support and sent me my third in less than a week.
Shipped my dead one out like that Wednesday and when I got home from school next Monday, a new one was sitting in front of the door.
That was over 5 years ago and it still works as far as I know, but I haven't touched it but maybe two or three times since getting a PS4 in May.
My PS1 and PS2 both died on me at the very end of the console gen.

My first ps1 was a piece of shyt my 1st xbox was rock solid, my ps2 still works, both of my ps3s work but one had a hard drive that went out, went through 2 360s. Both my ps4 and xb1 are cool but time will tell. The only manufacturer I never had an issue with was Sega and Nintendo. My genesis, snes, dreamcast, nes, Saturn and gamecube still work. It's just the luck of the draw when dealing with electronics with movable parts sadly.
