Sony has 5 or 6 games/franchise they spent over 5yrs making. Thats where the graphics come into play. That, and how much money is spent on the game.
To show you by example, Gears of War costed $10mil to make. Killzone 2 costed closer to $100 mil to make. Thats cool and all, and I appreciate the effort. But at the end of the day its all about gameplay. Every graphical powerhouse on ps3 sucks from a gameplay standpoint. Thats why you are bringing up graphics in the first place. Also, because you have nothing worth playing, you say dumbshyt like that, then when any ps3 exclusive drops its the best looking game to you guys. There is no Uncharted 4 being made anytime soon. Even if they showed you a tech demo, don't expect an Uncharted 4 til 2015. Fall 2014 at the earliest, but not very likely...

Infamous series has "SHIPPED" 4million copies combined WORLDWIDE (4.07mil to be exact)

Uncharted series has shipped like 15million over 3gms
LBP shipped 8million worldwide (less than 3mill for LBP2)
Last of us has shipped zero units as of today.

To put this perspective, every xbox exclusive sells more copies in its first week (if not day) than the entire inFAMOUS series has sold lifetime
Ditto with LBP2, usually more sold in a day or week than that game has sold worldwide in its lifetime

Sony wants some of that marketshare back. It'll never be PS2 type share again, but it took 6 years to overtake the 360 in sales. They know they have to be first esp in the US between the 2.

It's not like the PS3 still won't be getting great games. Sony, unlike MS, supports their consoles after the newer one releases. PS3 still gon eat.

You also know sony reports systems shipped. Its pretty much impossible to expect any compnay to report systems sold these days. They could, but they don't because of other factors.
So the only way to truly gauge is by looking at statistics like games sold, ppl online playing a game/etc.

Console wars...exciting times. I do find it humorous though that people just simply seem to think that by launching first in America, Sony will go ahead of the next Xbox. Do you all realize, perception has changed. Do you all not know that roughly around the time the next Xbox should launch, the headlines are going the new Xbox is the successor to the best selling console ever in America this if current sales trends holds up. Yes, that's right, PS2 and Wii are going to be overtaken by the 360 this year. We know the sales arc of these titles that you guys are bringing up. If Sony's tide is to change, it will be a new IP that does it. However, I assume, just as like last generation, Microsoft is getting exclusive content and games from various developers. They have the most money to burn and they have the greatest vision to attain. Microsoft is have the most forward thinking console. They are going to have the greatest graphical technology in their hardware, they own the technology in their GPU, they are Direct X and obviously, DX12 stuff will be in the xbox. Prepare for the onslaught.

No one going to be clamoring to buy a new 360 system when they see the worlds Playstation 4 on the shelves my nig. If sony has a high price point then that will probably make people hold off for a cheaper inferior product like the x box. Especially if the games are pratically identical.
