I'm on my 10th, actually...but I've had this one for almost 4 years now.
I used to do GameStop's 1-year in-store replacement policy, until the numbers piled up and they had to lift the policy for their own sake.
So yeah, I'd say that about 8 of them were new systems. 9th one got fixed and died later off E73...they sent me a Falcon...and it had to be fixed at one point, but the one I have now has lasted the longest by far.
It was ridiculous, but it was also my fault for playing an overheating-prone system for 12-14 hours a day...I won't even lie, in the middle of that stretch there I was kinda relishing in the fact I killed 360s

i don't get why that matters... or any of it.. there's only two reason i could see someone caring about sales..
1. because more sales, means more money for the company. then they take that money and put it back in for better hardware and software, development, better hires within, etc etc
2. you own stock in the company so them making money means you make money
and in both situations, for either company, it makes sense to only care about shipped sales.. the company doesn't make more money if customers buy it or not.. once the store buys it, they made their money, its over.. they could care less if 50 mil people bought them or all 77 mil.. either way they got paid for 77 mil worth of units. they don't sell them on some "pay us when they sell in the store"
and for two, ummmmmmm doesn't money work everywhere?? how does only north america count?? we dont convert money over here?? sony can't use japanese money at their bank or something? last i checked america is billions in debt to other countries like china.. seems like their money was damn sure good enough then wasn't it
u guys need to move on with your lives seriously... the last time i remember arguing over which system is better was n64 vs playstation 1 in grade 8 home ec class...
