Home went up in the middle of the night and had an open house today. We really liked it but just got a call from our agent saying someone already put an offer $60K above list price. :francis:

The home needs some updating too, which makes this even more aggravating and unbelievable. :francis:

Prices are about to come back to reality though. These interest rates will not allow prices to continue rising unabated.
That’s gonna remove us normal buyers

It’s still going to take a while though for prices to come down imo. That’s why I’m just out for now:hubie:

This is messed up. Only way I would be semi comfy with owner financing is if the contract is registered with the registry of deeds, there’s explicit language that seller will not grant a mortgage to others, and the property is mortgage free.
It’s still going to take a while though for prices to come down imo. That’s why I’m just out for now:hubie:
More time to increase your deposit breh. I might think about getting into a primary home this winter, but I really like my current situation.

When I plug these numbers into the mortgage calculator it looks crazy. while I can see why folks were buying during low interest time, much of the inventory where I am makes no sense at these numbers-desirability or function.

Yup, a lot of people are going to see the same thing and hold off now. Crazy thing is rates are still lower than when my moms got her mortgage but the rate increase with the higher prices is just too crazy.
