This game plays a little like Devil May Cry exploration-wise, but the combat is more similar to an action game on hard mode like Metal Gear Rising. I can dig it. I only got stuck one part and it was the 2nd password chest. I had to google to learn that it can't be solved and is locked behind the full game.

Pretty much started getting hard copies again with FF7 Rebirth. Now I'm on the hunt to see if I can find hard copies of games I've gotten digitally.

I’m too impatient to deal with it. I’ve been wanting to get some collectors editions this gen but when i think of waiting around for them to ship or going to pick them up, and dealing with disc switching i snap out of it.

I’d ironically buy more collectors editions if all the extra stuff sold separate and i got a digital copy

Demo was alright. Graphics were downgraded and the timing windows for dodging and parrying need a little tweaking. Dodging also feels like it should cover more ground. Needs a block cancels attack mechanic but I doubt we'll get that.

Wait for review status.

yeah no block cancel is iffy but i perused the skill tree and there's a vast amount of guard breaking and unblockable dodge mechanics that could redeem it. I think maybe the enemies are too fast or shorty needs to be sped up if they don't add cancels, but yea doubt they fix that.

More moves are unlocked in the Boss Mode. Just check the skill tree.
She also has a gun and grenades, but I didn't use them.

After playing the demo, I feel like Eve's way too slow. It's crazy when Souls games feel quicker and more responsive. For a character that's supposed to be agile she feels way too rooted imo. The dodge window is all over the place and not being able to block cancel is a weird choice. Hopefully that's rectified in the main game.


Either way, the discourse around this game damn near turned me off to it. People are so redpilled and pornsick that they'll become keyboard warriors to defend a fictional character's asscheek jiggle physics more than going to vote.

They are doing their own thing combat wise. I’m not sure why people are so intent on trying to put it in a dmc or souls box. the combat works when you play it on its own terms
