i don't know why there's a lot of people negative about the beats, "Hunger Pangs" is vintage P and one of the best beats on here, even beats out the Premier one. Spiritual war, no religion, there's a pretty good amount of good joints on here. P sounds great on the whole project overall.

On first listen I would have said this was a 3 mic album. But after repeated listening over the past week. I’d say it’s more in the 3.5-4 mic range.
It’s definitely not what I wanted as a P fan, but it’s dope to hear him touching on subject matter outside of his comfort zone. Also, I think a lot of the “simp” bars are just an extended metaphor on addiction.
Either way, it’s a grown man album in much the same way HD 1 was, albeit, with very different subject matter.

It's kind of wild that the first one goes for insanely high prices for the CD (same with the Albert Einstein album) and yet they don't seem to see a demand for a CD or vinyl for part 2. I must be missing something.

Although this interview dropped around Part 2.....the album sounds completely different from what was intended because of sample clearance issues. The last album in the trilogy (Book of The Dead) is "street/gritty P".....Thankfully the sample clearance issues aren't present, but a lot of people need to be on the same page before it comes out. Thats probably the hold up.
