Wait this is another album with love songs or is it really like love songs to drugs? Lookin at the names makes me wonder

I already heard a p love song albuk in hnic 3
That's a good point.

Aspects may be a subliminal tip of the hat to P drug addictions, numerous as they were.

Yea i assumed thats what it was about especially since that first primo cut and opium poppy seem to be like that.

P had a documented issue with opiates. Diagnosed with sickel cell, that was just his reality. Prolly first rapper on that wave. Prolly why he talked the way he did.

Plus this series is supposed to be full of hidden messages and truth. Id doubt hed go all this way to plan a trilogy to mail it in on album 2.

Then again im not quite sure how this was made and how much of it was really meant for this.

Eventually they need to take all the great obscure prodigy verses people dont really know and make a new mobb deep from them.

Only Listened To A Few Joints, It’s A Little Weird That Every Song Is About Women/Relationships lol But Prodigy Himself Sounds Good

I Really Like “Angel” Especially After The Beat Switch

RIP Prodigy

still don't get why Alchemist and Havoc wouldn't be involved with a posthomus album of their close friend. But then again, maybe they have their own vocals from P that they'll eventually work on sort of how Dame Grease said he has a full UNRELEASED DMX album that he plans on putting together. I can respect that if that's the case :jbhmm:

Hopefully the idea was that their beats would fit more with the third album.
Hav at least posted the album on social media. Nothing yet from ALC.

Have yet to listen, but it seemed to me that there was an overlying concept to these albums, following the thesis - antithesis - synthesis dialectic. So this would be the antithesis to what was established on the first one. Doesn't necessarily translate to good music of course, but I think there was an idea behind it.

i don't know why there's a lot of people negative about the beats, "Hunger Pangs" is vintage P and one of the best beats on here, even beats out the Premier one. Spiritual war, no religion, there's a pretty good amount of good joints on here. P sounds great on the whole project overall.

edit:
Man my f*ckin bad, i was listening to the first one, which i didn't get to, i'm about to check 2 :snoop:

would you want your name attached to this?

Hav is doing the Mobb album, Al has been quiet about what he has + the plans for it

Having listened to it a few times, it's def not as bad as some of y'all were making it out to be :yeshrug:

That said, outside of a few standouts (including the singles) it's pretty decent at best. P has a great voice and delivery which saves it, lyrically it's kind of stuck to the themes which was never his strong suit.

I would say it's a worthy release for the P fan. My bar was significantly lower after I saw the initial reactions though.
Same sentiment.

I’m happy I didn’t go off what I read on here

Lyrically this is pretty fire, exactly what you want to hear from Prodigy, especially the late career version. Production wise, it’s way more upbeat and clean than I was expecting. I came in expecting dark grimy type stuff and I don’t think there’s more than 2 tracks like that. Not saying it bad, but not what I’m used to at all from him. Dope and fitting features too, and makes me want to hear more Remy Ma, she killed her verse and wasn’t using that choppy flow she’s been on and off doing. Big Noyd actually sounds Young than he did like 15 years ago. I really haven’t heard him on a song since 2008.

So with part 1 being about the evil of tyranny and the destruction it brings (problem), part 2 about the way regular people deal with this on a daily basis by consuming, substance abuse and sex (reaction), I'm curious to see from what perspective part 3 (solution) is going to be.
