there was/is a difference between someone creating an account to post "booya [nbomb] we won in an effort to be an ass and what Poz did.

I've always been ok with ignorance. Ignorance is NOT know. Stupidity is knowing but being ignorant anyway. It's my opinion that Poz was just ignorant...at least about most things.

He's really a racist lunatic, but he's still a because he expresses his views in a manner that is obviously designed to be as inflammatory as possible. He gets off on the hate he receives here. He's been like that for years. He takes pride in being told he's a horrible person and being voted worst poster.

A while back, he briefly started posting all types if random threads all day here and in TLR, and said he got banned from the forum he most frequently posts on wherever that is. He posts on and gets banned from a number of forums and is an inflammatory racist on all of them, depending on what the dominant racial makeup of the forum is probably.

So he's really a racist, but he's racist against all races. He just hates everybody. You're talking about a guy who posted under an alias on sohh that claimed to be black, and referred to himself as racist and self-hating under that alias. He's one sick puppy.

I just didn't know dude's history like that even if I smell more mental issues than real trolling ways but that's just my take.

Diversity is great, we have a lot of it,and have sadly lost a lot of good posters because of the direction the subforum was allowed to take.

So, you never read any posts on here being racist towards latino, asian or white people ? I understand stopping racism and banning racist people. I agree with that.
But if we do, we must do it fully because I saw plenty of anti-white posts on the-coli (in quasi every subforums) and I'm pretty sure that wasn't being dealt as racism... It's one thing to fight white priviledge, institutionalized racism and such but it's totally another to use the same ways one condemns to achieve it.

I recommended the bannings. Tom had it coming for a long time. He trolled various threads across pretty much all forums and he was warned literally dozens of times. The race baiting going on after this Zimmerman trial from non black posters, many of them aliases or new posters, will just cause a snowball effect by drawing in the so called "militants" (like that's a bad thing, being a militant) and then we'd have a repeat of last year when the 'cism was totally out of control. Tom had to go and the Gundumb ban needs no explanation, he needs help. Both halves of him. Now have at me.

There is something to be gained from GENUINE morons. I've been in an authoritative position over youth in my lifetime, a mentor so to speak. One of the BEST teaching tools i've ever been able to use in terms of teaching perspective and "life lessons" was always the "what NOT to do". Far more powerful IMHO than the "do it LIKE that guy" the "don't be like that guy" holds more weight IMHO. That being said....

At the least PoZ was a training dummy for people who may not have known how to handle certain arguments. His views, misguided as i believe they were, are shared by A SHYT TON of people out there. In HL we have the benefit of a majority of similar thoughts, in the Real world that's not always the case. The "benefit" of Poz is that he allowed you a medium to exercise your arguments again dumb folks.

Poz wasn't a troll, he was a moron, a dumbass, myopic, self hating and confused individual, but a troll he was not.

Who is going to present "those" types of arguments? HL is now more homogenized than ever before.

So yeah now we ALL agree about everything...hooray.

What's sad though is that Gundumb could've been a decent contributor if he wasn't so fukking crazy. I recall a few rare blue moon moments where he calmly and soberly expressed views on macroeconomic matters--monetary and fiscal policy-- that were anti-the majority opinion here, without rambling about marxism and Obama and all types of strawman nonsense. We could've used more of that guy.

And there was one podcast where he was talking about free will and dualism vs. materialism and came off pretty well.

He just has some issues he's never learned to deal with like an adult I guess.
