I think you're basically agreeing with the premise that democrats assumed Americans aren't as stupid, self centered and intolerant as they actually are.

She overestimated the kindness and intelligence of the average person. She even said point blank "I will give you a grant to buy your first home, I'll go after price gouging. Inflation is unacceptable"

She said "I am going to secure our border. Crossings are down X percent since we took office and it's going to get even lower!"

She did it all breh. She said it, but the fact of the matter is people blamed Biden for the current economic situation and she was in his cabinet. The stink of his perceived failure was on her and regardless of how much she said she'd help America they didn't trust her because they didn't trust Joe.

Americans are racist, they're stupid, they're self centered, and its hard for them to trust again once that trust has been broken.

So now the focus for democrats will be on building power at the grass roots level. Now that they're the opposition, they'll be watching the failures of Republicans at all levels of government and will be focused on pumping up the anger and hatred that people will have for them. They learned in this election that the respectability shyt is dead and that being aggressive is an asset. There will be anger, there will be HATE and if they want to win, they better lean into those emotions. Trying to appeal to the intelligence of voters is a wasted effort. It's time to appeal to their emotions.

Thanks. I have known about him for years and have no real issues with him but he is missing the point. Yes, there are people that would not vote for Kamala because she is not white, because she is a woman, all types of deplorable shyt. There are a lot of people that are low to no information voters that vote for the dumbest reasons.

But the reason why she lost is not because of them, it is because Democrats have alienated and depressed their own votes. 10+ million less votes, pissing off people in key states, not giving reasons to people to vote for her and not respecting people's fears about immigration, economy, etc....
