I don't think Prince ever fell off artistically. If anything, some of his music may have been too artistic or too deep for the average listener.

You nikkas know exactly what i mean. Everything he dropped from 93-2012 has been just ight. Something very EXTREME happened to him in the late 80's/90's

I'm still halfway expecting this to be some elaborate eccentric ploy by Prince for some reason, but it ain't.

Prince's family has a guardian angel ... who goes by the name George Lopez, because we've learned the comedian has fronted money to the family the singer left behind.

Turns out ... George was tight with Prince, and he learned all of the assets in the estate have been frozen until a judge determines how much the administrator can give family members for living expenses. Prince was generous with his family, giving them money and even homes during his life.

Some of the singer's siblings are now cash strapped because they've been temporarily cut off, and we've learned George has advanced them $20k to cover living and travel expenses and that figure could go up.

We're told George did it all anonymously ... not wanting any fanfare or adulation.

I was born in 92', what was it like for you older cats in here when "When Doves Cry" came out? I was watching a Prince vs Michael fan made documentary on Youtube and they showed clips showing how that basically was when Prince broke through. The crazy thing is that Purple Rain the title track didn't come out as a single until the album was already selling like Hotcakes. It reminds me of how the Thriller video came out almost a year after the album.

I wish i was around that time to see it but damn Prince really was that big.
