Breh it still hurts me and I still can't believe this dude died. This hurts me like when Sean price died. It came out of no where because you didn't expect this to happen.

Where as with MJ it didn't hit me as bad and I could deal with it. MJ was spiraling out of control and you knew it wasn't gonna end well same as Whitney.

But with folks like prince or even Sean P hit just hits you like a Mack Truck out of nowhere.

Also I still believe dude flu became walking pneumonia which happens a lot with older folks. Plus the medication he was taking can cause shallow breath and respiratory problems. This is extremely dangerous with the flu or pneumonia because these viruses can cause lungs filling up with fluid and breathing problems.

Case in point China has a serious issue with older folks catching the flu and dying. One reason for this is the environment is so bad (smog and dirt in the air) it is difficult to breath anyway. Add a virus that attacks your lungs and you have a deadly combination. I know this from experience myself working in China (everyone coughs and spits in the big cities because the pollution fukks with their lungs).

Edit: Want to say if prince was taking cough suppressant that really made matters bad because it keeps the cold in your lungs. As an asthmatic myself the worst this is cough suppressants....you want to cough up the cold out your lungs and spit it out.....over time that helps you breath better.

The movie that catapulted Prince to stardom is rolling back into U.S. theaters this weekend.

“Purple Rain,” starring the late pop star, was first released in 1984 and earned Prince an Academy Award for Best Original Song Score. The accompanying album also produced two no. 1 singles –“When Doves Cry” and “Let’s Go Crazy–and went platinum 13 times over.

AMC, the nation’s largest theater chain, is teaming with Warner Bros. to screen “Purple Rain” in 87 AMC locations this Saturday, April 22, through Thursday, April 27. Carmike Theaters will also screen the cult favorite in 80 theaters.





Prince, 57, was found dead at his Paisley Park residence on Thursday. An autopsy was performed Friday to determine the exact cause of death.

When he announced the tour I told my wife this isn't gonna end good and MJ gonna end up having a heart attack. It didn't end like that but health wise there was no way he was gonna be able to do that tour.

Been on my Prince music kick for the last few days, I would have to say one of the things that really got me was his lyrics and music was so different than anyone else, plus when I first heard the guitar in Let's Go Crazy and Purple Rain I was hooked. Songs like Sexy MF, that just jams to no end, the NPG just flowed funk throughout that song. Damn U, another track that was very slick with the lyrics and arrangement.

Even though Graffiti Bridge bombed at the theaters I bought the DVD and jammed the shyt out of the soundtrack especially The Question Of U and Still Would Stand All Time.... Can't tell you brehs and brehettes how many times I played Around The World In A Day...... Condition Of The Heart has a piano intro that just takes you to another place....

Ill make a ban bet with you now that he had HIV. And i think the timeline maches up. This is why he got so religious out the blue in late 90s. I know he had elements of religion in his music for while in songs like Purple Rain. But this seems like a case to me of wild people turning religious when tlife catches up with them

RIP Prince, the older and more woke he got. He realized the darker the berry, the sweeter the juice.

This is 100 right here. Born in the 90s, so I don't know Prince like some of y'all know him, but it's almost like he became raceless.

When I saw him with the fro some time back, I just looked at the picture for like 3 minutes, he was US again with no fukks given.

Now I'm reading all these stories on how he was helping his people without all he publicity or for the credit. Just to help HIS people. Beautiful thing, salute that man.

I wish Michael would have done that. I really wish Mike would have said I'm done with the perms and all the madness and I'm a black man and not ashamed of it.
