Welterweight divison is way better today than it was in tito s era
:why: No the hell it isn't. Today's era just has more notable fighters, but deeper=/=better.

I'll take Tito, Oscar, Mosley, Forrest, Whitaker, Chavez, Norris, Quartey, Mayorga, and even Oba Carr over today's Welterweights.

If Tito hit Floyd like Mosley did he would have finished him. Hell a prime Shane would have finished him.

Tito has been down in his career, Floyd hasn't, that says a lot

Cool story bro

Because your a nostalgia whore, plus Norris is a light middleweight, who talking straight Welters, the comp today is better

the skills, conditioning, everything is better, people are just too bitter to appreciate it

fukk nostalgia, that don't mean shyt to me. I'm not some bitter old nikka, I call it like I see it. The competition is not better now than it was back then. You just caping to hard for Floyd.

Aside from Floyd, and maybe Manny, how many of these welterweights is fukking with the ones 15 years ago? You think the rest of these nikkas could fukk with a Forrest or a Quartey? Hell no. shyt even Oba Carr would wreck most these nikkas, and he wasn't even really a Top WW.

And most of the Welterweights today aren't even real Welters. Majority of them are Junior Welterweights masquerading as Welterweights. They really belong at 140, not 147.

shyt even the Top Welterweights (Floyd, Manny, Marquez) aren't real Welterweights either. Their best years were at the lower weights.

I guess since everything is better these days, you gonna say the Heavyweight division is better now than it was 15 years ago, right? :usure: Cut it out man :camby:

Quartey would/could get bet by a lot of guys today
Forrest is beatable as well, hell mayoga beat him twice

how I'm caping for floyd when this isn't even Floyd's era, Floyd damn 40

he is the exceptional to the rule as p4p

All I'm saying is those guys aren't some whole different level they would lose some fights and some fights against guys in this era

Of course the heavyweight division is trash
you gotta jump to extremes

the comp in the WW divisions is great, and the younger guys coming up are going to get a great crop as well

Quartey's only loss at WW came to De La Hoya (and one can argue he didn't really lose). Ain't no DLH's in today's division.
Forrest as a WW only lost to Mayorga (And one could argue Forrest won the 2nd fight). And Mayorga was a big, strong WW (he was a MW before coming down to WW) with great power and a great chin (before Tito ruined it :smugbiden:) How many Mayorgas are there in today's division? Hardly any.

Not saying those guys were ATGs, but they were more talented as a whole than the guys around today. Forrest would rule today's WW division IMO.

I'm not jumping to extremes with the HW. I'm using your own words on how the skills and condition is better today. Wouldn't that be the case for every division? :sas1:

Not saying the division is trash, because it isn't. There's talent there and some fighters on the come up like Thurman and Porter that I really like. But compared to the WW's of 10-15 years ago (who were actual WW's), there's really no competition. The Top WWs of the 90's >>> Today's Top WWs

Vernon Forrest is on par with the top WW of today only difference is there are more guys in WW today that are on that level
Oba carr has a nice record, but he lost everytime he fought for the belt
Quartey, man he just be another quality guy in this era ,and if Floyd fought him you would all make up some excuse to why it's not a real win

DLH started at super feather weight, so what do you mean there's no WW today like it was back then, it's this type of shyt that doesn't make any sense

only difference is there's more top guys today then there was then

Have judges in your favor breh

What does this have to do with anything

first off that wasn't Knock down, look at judah's foot floyd was clearly off balance and slipped

secondly, even if it was still scored Knock downed Judah would've lost the fight clearly

so why even this post shyt man this has nothing to do with anything

bottom line is we will see if Cotto decides to defend his strap

Lmao the glove kept him up which is why if you glove touches to canvas it's ruled a knockdown. Their feet never touched. There are more replays that show the feet never touch that was clearly a knockdown.

Show me those replays because they ones I seen clearly show the feet

and like I said even if you score that KD Floyd still wins easy, and was cleary not hurt just off balance

this is what you have to resort to
