True. I trust that Haiti and the DR will resolve that.

That's why this law is so good. It forces people to file their paperwork and establish themselves.

No more living in the shadows.
smh:francis:. This is not a good law, stop trying to whitewash this shyt.

Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
In the news:

The exodus of Haitians is growing

While repatriation by the Dominican authorities have not yet begun, the voluntary departures of Haitian in an irregular migratory situation, which began early last week have greatly increased this weekend.

...

Many Haitian families have group together to reduce the cost of moving from the places where they lived until the customs, where they boarded trucks and other means of transport.

...

To protect Haitians who voluntarily returned to Haiti, the Dominican authorities, particularly the national police, the J-2, the Department of Border Operations Research (DOIF) and other government agencies have formed brigades to prevent gangs of Haitians and Dominicans, to attack those who return to their country.

Man, you are doing the same thing @The War Report did. You getting offended over the truth, and my posts wasn't about calling Dominicans the cause of the problems here. It all stemed from Natu acting like Haitians are the cause of all D.R.'S problems. That was to show him he needs to get off his high horse.

And yes, those groups did bring drugs here, but Dominicans had, and still have the coke game on lock, next to Mexicans. Back then Jamaicans had the weed game on lock. Yall are taking shyt too personal, and not taking everything into context.

Everyone in those communities was to blame for the drug epidemic from white to yellow, the ppl who suffered from it the most tho were black & brown

Mexicans own the coke game now, dominicans aren't moving it like the 80s anymore

OK, whatever makes you feel good, but it isn't totally true besides Mexicans running shyt.

You are changing shyt up to make yourself feel good. I can admit black Americans are the ones who sold heroin in the metropolitan area in large numbers in the 70's, without feeling bad, because its the truth. Telling the truth is how things change.

Not what makes me feel good, I'll admit that Dominicans sold coke no problem and sure they did it in Washington Heights, which is where the largest population of Dominicans has historically lived here but you dropped a article along side a narrative like if they were responsible with flooding NY with Crack

Should I start posting article of other drug king pins from the 80s? And see which race dominates , and like I said before Rick Ross was bringing in more coke than anybody else :mjpls:

Actually no, haitians rarely engage in criminal acts in DR. To be honest they are a well behaved community, of course some exceptions do exist.

Most crime in DR is done by poor dominicans who live in the hood, or what we call "barrios calientes". Normally in the Capital. Alot of haitians live in these "barrios" but they are well behaved. Our main problem with haitian immigration is not crime.

Actually there was plenty of drug dealers in LA on Rick level. The thing that set Freeway apart was the C.i.a. connection. The US government been involved in drug dealing since Vietnam and Air america.

This is from 2014, but its a good read:

JCE begins audit of 60,869 cases of foreign births registered since 1929

SANTO DOMINGO. In compliance with the sentence 168-13 of the Constitutional Tribunal, the Commission of Civil Registry Offices of the Central Electoral Board (JCE) announced yesterday the start of an audit of 60,869 cases of foreign birth registrations from 21 June 1929 until now.

"The audit is to go deeper, in order to have a minute investigation into the immigration status of each one of these cases, and determine whether or not the documentation of the foreign father is correct," said Cesar Feliz, a full member of the JCE and who presides over the Commission of Civil Registries.

Yesterday Feliz and other personnel from the Civil Registry offices met for an hour in the JCE with the members of the Oversight Commission for Information of the Civil Registry, which is chaired by the director of the Diario Libre, Adriano Miguel Tejada, who received information as to the process.

Feliz explained that the 60,869 cases to be verified as to their irregularity or not, are the result of the survey done in the Registry books in November 2013.

The sentence by the Constitutional Tribunal set a one-year deadline for auditing the books and registries, with a possible renewal of one further year, if necessary, in order to make a list of foreigners registered in the books of birth registration of the Civil Registry of the Dominican Republic.

Sentence 168-13 establishes criteria for obtaining Dominican nationality which especially affect the descendants of Haitian immigrants. The regulations take 1929 as the parameter, since in this year they produced "the most relevant modification to the requirements for obtaining Dominican nationality which is "jus soli" which was introduced into the Constitution of that year.

After the audit is completed, says the Constitutional Tribunal, they should draw up a list of the foreigners that they find to be irregularly registered because they lack the required conditions according to the Constitution of the Republic for acquiring Dominican nationality by "jus soli," which they will denominate as the "List of Foreigners Irregularly Registered in the Civil Registry" which will be sent to the Ministry of the Interior and Police which presides over the National Immigration Council.

Tejada, the coordinator of the Oversight Commission, said that the JCE is carrying out the auditing process with "a great sense of justice."

He pointed out that they were told of the fulfillment of a pilot plan with 400 cases, in which they have already been able to verify settlements to be analyzed, some cases of fraud and also errors in the writing.

Auditing team

A multidisciplinary team will carry out the audit and complete the field work at the national level. It will be composed of 220 persons: a manager, a deputy manager, a secretary, an assistant, 16 supervisors, 100 auditors, 50 scanners and 50 data entry clerks.

Later on, each case will be looked at by the Civil Registry Commission, which will send a report to the Plenary of the JCE in order for them to issue the corresponding resolutions for each case.
