blackness in DR, and Latin American as a whole, isnt as cut and dry as it is in the US

there isnt really a one drop rule, there's never been a civil rights movement, and nationalism > race

the whole "I'm not black, I'm Dominican" thing is really semantics. In DR & Latin America, black = African American. Even in the Caribbean black = African American

If you were to ask "Do many of your ancestors originate from Africa" you'd get a different answer
Not all the time. I seen for myself when I mentioned humans starting in Africa, I got the :usure: face from a dominican chick. Granted she was ignorant of her African roots, but as time went on, she started opening up. I'm proud of her:ehh:

It is true what you're saying, though

Yo, I just saw a post with you going in on polight about him getting his people to jump someone.

Can you go more into that?

It was at a debate, between Seti and polight . polight was brought up directly under the teachings of Dr York (that's where alot of his connections come from) well Idk if you are familiar with Seti but he is a very aggressive debater

Well long story short Seti started attacking York (who's in prison) the main attack being that York was a child molster, and seti put some inappropriate pics on a slide show, well there were kids at the debate including polights

And that's when all hell broke lose

From what I heard polight goons handled business

This is true. But what can't be denied is 1) Dominican culture has a huge antiblackness/anti-Africaness component to it and 2)everyone in the world calls Dominicans black whether yall want to be or not

Please expand on that :jbhmm:
:usure: lets not be dense

Compare how DR celebrates the African part of its heritage with damn near all the non Spanish speaking islands in the Caribbean
I've never seen a Dominican care about this in real life. We are what we are, being black may be part of it...but we not black (American) tho
LOL....yall care when yall move to the US, Spain, Holland etc. and have to deal with racism
