Well now that her MASK has literally come off. All you dudes coppin pleas what do you have to say now? Now watch what happens. She now gets to go on all the Talk Shows and talk about her life as a "Black Woman". Of course she resign. She about to make millions in book and movies deals. She will be a white woman again cause society won't allow her to pull off this clown show. Black people are STILL Coppin pleas in the media. Now she gets to live happily ever after as a white woman and Black People are defending this mess. SMDH. This is the definition of White Privilege if I've ever seen it.

Former Spokane NAACP president Rachel Dolezal sued Howard University in 2002 for allegedly discriminating against her because she’s white, according to court documents obtained by the Smoking Gun. Dolezal, who has claimed to be black for several years, said the school refused to hire her for teaching posts and denied her scholarships because of her race.

.....

The lawsuit was dismissed in February 2004, after Judge Zoe Bush found no evidence that Dolezal was discriminated against. Dolezal was ordered to reimburse the school for $2758.50 for a “Bill of Costs” and another $1000 for an “obstructive and vexatious” court filing.

Book deals for what? Exclusive interviews for what?

Any publisher is at least going to fact check the things she has written.

She has made some serious allegations, talking about she was sent racist hate mail, when there was no proof.

Said she grow up in a teepee and hunted animals with bows and arrows (:comeon:)
Said she had cancer, ( this is a lie)
Said she was abused when she was in South Africa ( her parents have said she has never been to Africa and was not abused)

Literally everything out of ol'girl's mouth is a lie.

Her voice is terrible (:scust:) nobody wants to hear this bytch speak on anything.

Anyway check out that black guy that tips podcast link I posted previous, it is hilarious.
she also sued Howard University for denying her teaching posts and a scholarship because she was a white woman.....

According to a Court of Appeals opinion, Dolezal's lawsuit “claimed discrimination based on race, pregnancy, family responsibilities and gender.” She alleged that Smith and other school officials improperly blocked her appointment to a teaching assistant post, rejected her application for a post-graduate instructorship, and denied her scholarship aid while she was a student.

The court opinion also noted that Dolezal claimed that the university’s decision to remove some of her artworks from a February 2001 student exhibition was “motivated by a discriminatory purpose to favor African-American students over” her.

As detailed in the court opinion, Dolezal’s lawsuit contended that Howard was “permeated with discriminatory intimidation, ridicule, and insult.”

Judge Zoe Bush dismissed Dolezal’s complaint in February 2004, 18 months after the lawsuit was filed and Dolezal was deposed on several occasions. Bush found no evidence that Dolezal was discriminated on the basis of race or other factors. The D.C. Court of Appeals subsequently affirmed Bush’s decision.

Following the dismissal of Dolezal’s lawsuit (and the Court of Appeals decision), she was ordered to reimburse Howard for a “Bill of Costs” totaling $2728.50. During the case, she was also ordered to pay the university nearly $1000 in connection with an “obstructive and vexatious” court filing that sought to improperly delay her examination by an independent doctor.

Dolezal’s lawsuit included “claims for medical and emotional distress damages,” according to a court docket. (5 pages)

Lot of people saying "but she's being pro black! she's helping black people!" are missing the point.
-Her entrance to a HBCU could have been given to someone who is genuinely black and who needs it
-Her position as a professor could have been given to a black woman
-Her status in the NAACP could have been given to a black person.

She has taken opportunities away from black people by pretending to be something that she is not. This is like all of those white people who claim native american status to reap benefits from that community meanwhile benefiting from being treated as white people when around other white people. At any time she can decide "I don't want to be black anymore". People who are black do not have this luxury. A clan member won't give a shyt what mixture you are or what you identify as when he's hanging you. A police officer won't care what you want to call yourself when he empties clips into you. In America at least, if you look black you are. Barack Obama looks black therefore he is subject to the same treatment other black people are and is considered the USA's first black president.

For those people who want to defend her actions. Ask yourselves this:
-Has she been subject to racial profiling?
-Has she had to endure passive aggressive comments like "I'm not normally attracted to black chicks but you're not too bad!"?
-Has she been subject to racial slurs?
-Has she had to watch as someone who she knew was not as qualified as her get a job she was denied?
-Has she endured the stares and ignorant comments that we often do?

If she has not faced the hardship that we as black people face, is it okay for her to still consider herself one of us?
First, there are tons of white people at Howard. Howard is not race restricted
Secondly, you can be white and be in the NAACP
Thirdly, she got the professor job cause apparently she was the most qualified

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Thinks 'The Black Community Is Better Off' Because Of Rachel Dolezal

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is the latest to weigh in on the bizarre story of Rachel Dolezal, writing in a column for Time entitled "Let Rachel Dolezal Be as Black as She Wants to Be."

Abdul-Jabbar writes that the details surrounding Dolezal, who, though born white and raised by white parents, has since identified as black and even served as the president of her local NAACP chapter, "seem pretty damning."

But nevertheless, the former NBA player writes that Dolezal "has proven herself a fierce and unrelenting champion for African-Americans politically and culturally."

Perhaps some of this sensitivity comes from her adoptive black siblings. Whatever the reason, she has been fighting the fight for several years and seemingly doing a first-rate job. Not only has she led her local chapter of the NAACP, she teaches classes related to African-American culture at Eastern Washington University and is chairwoman of a police oversight committee monitoring fairness in police activities. Bottom line: The black community is better off because of her efforts.

Discounting comparisons that others have attempted to make to Caitlyn Jenner, Abdul-Jabbar writes that unlike Jenner, who faced a "biological imperative rather than a free will choice of orientation ... Dolezal chose to identify with a racial group she was not born into."

He adds that because some research has led scientists to find that there is no such thing a race, as such, Dolezal has "merely selected a cultural preference of which cultural group she most identifies with."

So, does it really matter whether Rachel Dolezal is black or white?

Dr. King said we should be judged by the content of character rather than color of skin, which is what makes this case so difficult. So, yes, it does matter. Apparently lying to employers and the public you’re representing when the lie benefits you personally and professionally is a deficit in character. However, the fight for equality is too important to all Americans to lose someone as passionate as she is and who has accomplished as much as she has.

Abdul-Jabbar is not the first to come to Dolezal's defense. Both Keri Hilson and Melissa Harris-Perry faced backlash after they too sought to justify Dolezal's actions. Harris-Perry asked if she could perhaps be "trans-black" (identifying with a race she was not born into), and Hilson tweeted that Dolezal should be thanked because "she's doing more than most of us do for ourselves."
