Most accurate post in the thread. People in here act like the US is the only superpower in the world that can act without repercussion. The UK, China, and Russia also have that ability. They don't answer to anyone and will do as they please. Americans and the Brits shot themselves in the foot by guaranteeing Ukraine protection for letting go of their nukes. US/UK are in a no-win situation now because of it.

The Ukraine/Russia don't really have home grown terrorists like that. They have radicals but not the typical jihadi suiciders. The terrorism comes mostly from the Muslim provinces. I think thats why the Russians took over all of the airfields in Crimea. They don't want extremists flying in and waging covert wars in Ukraine.
The move would be to protect the western interests there and put Putin up to scrutiny in the UN council. Make him justify sending forces there while putting forces on the ground. No forces, you continue to add troops and equipment. They can't win a war against the west over a satellite country, which is why they are playing it light while seeing what the UN does. This is the time to talk them down. Yes, there are repercussions if the west wants to make it that way. Emboldening those clowns will just make this happen again and again.. Yes, Putin and his ilk are clowns.

The UN Security Council won't do shyt. Russia can literally bomb Kiev if they wanted to and the UN couldn't do shyt. Don't forget Russia and China are members with veto power so anything they do, they can also veto the repercussions. Calling Putin a clown is funny and a bit ironic seeing as our own president has at the very least influenced Libya and Syria, as well as taken up wars in Iraq that the world didn't want.

Everything else coming from US/Western Media is more or less a front/spin. Ukrainians fighting to overthrow and do business with who they want to do business is one thing, but the outside interference from other countries isnt much about ideology.
