Yes, essentially giving them benefits.

Uber and Lyft paid over 200 million in disinformation here in Cali. Used fake black actors and everything.

This essentially means that they will continue to fukk over app drivers. No one was prepared for the sheer amount of disinformation these companies pumped into the state.

Extremely disheartening and telling for how people can be manipulated like sheep by the powers that be.

Idk bout this one :patrice:, this would be hard to make this type of job a W-2. It would be hard to pay someone in this job a salary or hourly
That type of work is so up and down with no planned routes, 3 hour spurts of high activity then like 3 hour spurts of no calls. Uber and Food Delivery app jobs would have to keep the Independent Contractor classification. Which is not so bad, because they can write off almost everything on their taxes

I think people get this confused with the traditional delivery jobs like UPS, USPS, Fed Ex, Truck Driving, Newspaper Delivery, etc etc. They are much better for a W-2 position because they have planned routes, planned customers, planned shifts, manufacturing/shipping contracts, etc
