It was really 9-0 if you think about it. Nobody in the ruling actually ruled in favor of Trump. The 7 who outright rejected it, did so saying they had zero standing or real legality to bring the case. Thomas and Alito said they would have allowed the case to continue because they don't think the court can deny the case, but they would have not granted relief. In other words they would have allowed the case to continue just so they could rule against Trump.
